      beltone could not get my hearing aids to work. eventually they were in repair more than 50% of the time. finally the beltone office, the corporate representative *******************, and myself agreed they could not fit me with hearing aids. then ************** was contacting finance to determine what kind of refund would be equitable. after not hearing from her for quite a while i called and found out she no longer worked for beltone. i found out her replacement was *****************************. i left several messages. no call back. on january 10, 2023 i sent a 3 page letter to beltone corporate explaing my frustrations. again no reply. on 2/16/23 i filled out a complaint on their website that claimed i would get an immediate response. again no reply.

      WHEN WE FIRST BOUGHT THE.  HEARING AIDS WE TRAVELED ABOUT AN HOUR AWAY TO THE ********* OFFICE **** DEL WEBBB BLVD LAS VEGAS **.  WE TRAVELD THERE BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE *********************** FITTED ME.  SHE WAS MORE THEN CAPABLE OF ADJUSTING MY HEARING AIDS. DURING THE PANDEMIC THEY LET HER GO AND BELTONE NOW DOES NOT HAVE ANY DOCTORS IN THEIR OFFICES IN **.  THEN WE WENT TO THE BELTONE OFFICE IN ********* ** ********************************************************************************* WHICH IS CLOSEST TO MY HOME.  THE PEOPLE THERE ARE VERY NICE.  HOWEVER, THEY ARE NOT DOCTORS.  THEY ARE HEARING CARE PRACTIONERS, (SEE MY LETTER DOWNLOADED TO YOU) AND THEY COULD NOT GET THE *** DONE.  EVENTUALLY THEY DEEMED THAT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME.  THEN I CONTACTED CORPORATE ************************************************************ AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVE ******************* AND I AGREED THEY COULD NOT FIT ME.  ************** WAS GOING TO FINANCIAL TO DETERINE WHAT WOULD BE A FAIR REFUND.  AFTER WAITING FOR A LONG TIME I FOUND OUT SHE NO LONGER WORKS FOR BELTONE.  AFTER THAT ALL MY EFFORTS TO HAVE SOMEONE RTURN MY CALLS AND LETTERS WENT UNANSWERED.

      I am writing in response to Complaint ID ******** that was sent to you by *************************************

      ********************************* has been a Beltone patient since 2015. During that time two sets of Beltone Hearing Instruments were purchased for ********************  The most recent set was purchased in 2019.

      As stated by ********************* these hearing aids were sent in for repairs often.  The hearing instruments and/or receivers were sent in for repairs 13 different times.  We replaced the hearing aids after 10 repairs with a brand new set in 2021.  There were also several occasions were the receivers were replaced. The office personnel also made numerous repairs when they could do so locally.  Even after the warranty expired, we continued to do the repairs at no additional cost.
      The majority of the time the receivers were clogged with wax and debris as well as having moisture in them. Electronics do not function well with exposure to excessive moisture.

      As ********************* stated, ************** used to remove the ear wax from her sons ears.  After she left,we were not able to perform this because by state law Hearing Instrument Specialists are not allowed to remove wax. They conducted themselves within the realm of their license. 

      In our opinion, the staff and the factory did all they could do to assist *********************  We have no reason to believe there is or was a defective product based on the reasons the hearing aids were not working (filled with wax, debris and moisture).  Having to do continued repairs/replacements has not been common place for the Amaze Hearing Aids that were purchased for *********************  We stand by our product and do not believe a refund is warranted at this time.

      I am rejecting this response because:EVERYTHING BELTONE STATED IS CORRECT.  HOWEVER, SINCE I WAS LEFT DEAF FOR SO MANY EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME, I PURCHASED NEW HEARING AIDS FROM COSTCO.  THEY COST A GRAND TOTAL OF $1400.00 INSTEAD OF $6000.00, AND I CAN HEAR PERFECTLY.  THEREFORE, I ONCE AGAIN REPEAT BELTONE DID NOT PROVIDE ME WITH HEARING AIDS THAT WORK.  ALSO PERHAPS THEY CAN  EXPLAIN WHY UNTIL I CONTACTED YOU THEY NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO RESPOND TO ME.  PERHAPS THIS IS A MORE ACCURATE INDICATION OF HOWT BELTONE STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

      I am rejecting this response because: THERE IS NO POINT IN CONTINUING THE WORTHESS PROCEDURE OF BRINGING IN THE HEARING AIDS ONLY TO HAVE THEM GO DEAD THE SAME DAY.  THEN HAVE THEM SEND THE HEARING AIDS OUT FOR A WEEK OR TWO ONLY TO REPEAT THIS WASTE OF TIME AGAIN AND AGAIN..  THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR THE BETTER PART OF A YEAR OR TWO.  IF THEY COULDN'T GET THE HEARING AIDS TO WORK IN THAT PERIOD OF TIME SURELY THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO FIX THE HEARING AIDS NOW.  THEIR OFFER IS WORTHLESS.  ONCE AGAIN  CAN THEY EXPLAIN WHY THE $1400.00 HEARING AIDS FROM ****** WORK, BUT THEIRS CANNOT?  WHEN DO THEY TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR A PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT WORK FOR ME.
