    Hired this company to renovate one of my bathrooms. The owner of the company is *********************. Wrote a check in the amount of $5000 on December 7, 2022. The check was cashed literally the same day. A couple of weeks after submitting the deposit, I received text messages stating that the material hasnt come in yet. There was a problem with an order. Then a few more weeks pass I received a message stating the material is on back order. Two months ago by now Im contacting **************** and he is no longer returning my phone calls nor returning my text messages. I finally got a hold of him and he stated that there was an illness in his family (his dad) and he apologizes for any delay. Once again, he gives me a date on when the work will start , that date came went and yet nothing has been done to this day. Every time I try to call or text he doesnt respond. I just returned from out of town and received a letter from **************** no return address, and the letter is basically stating hes apologizing for unforeseeable delays and that I showed a great deal of trusted him and his services, etc. He also stated he will refund my money as much as he can, any remaining balance would be completely honored within 90 days. This is not acceptable to me. I do believe this is fraud. I do have a copy of the invoice but there isnt an invoice number. I also have a copy of the check that was cashed front and back and I also have text messages of our whole conversation from day one.
