I received a Final Notice in the mail looking like an official document from my student loan servicer about a one time price adjustment. I called and they immediately started asking for personal and financial information which made me pause because they didn't sound professional at all. After speaking for a minute, I asked who they were and found out they're a private company trying to profit off of private student loan debt refinancing and enrolling you in programs for a fee that you can enroll in for free if you just call your student loan servicer. One of the big problems with most private student loans is that they aren't eligible for forgiveness under the government student loan debt relief programs. The mailer says they can lower your balance, but they don't have the power to do this at all. They aren't associated with studentaid.gov or the US Department of Education. They are a bottom feeding company sending out extremely misleading mailers to scare people into calling them so they can take advantage of those of us who aren't the most financially literate and fall for scams like this. I can't believe this type of stuff is even legal in the US. The person on the other end of the phone sounded more like an elderly scam caller than any legitimate business I have ever heard of. Beware!

contact your student loan representative before you do any kind of student forgiveness program. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL information to anyone like your Social Security # DL # or Bank INFORMATION . most importantly don't sign anything until you read everything. I also receive a letter and it was a legit letter from the US DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION and when I called the number of the letter and started asking questions and found out it was a 3rd party solicitation I said NO THANK YOU I will contact my student Loan Provider and hung up. Afterwards I couldn't stop wondering and just for the heck of it went on line to check out the company and well here we are so glad I didn't take the bait.

TOTAL SCAM, do not answer solicitations from this company! I stopped short of giving them my SSN and DOB, over the phone, but I'm still notifying all my account holders not to do business with this company.

Money paid doesn’t go toward student loan. The money they charge goes to their pocked for filing forms. Approximately $1200. I feel like I was scammed. No refunds.

This company is calling asking for people Ssi and saying they qualify for student loan forgiveness. They telling you to login to student loans.gov website and as you login they won’t you to give them your information as they direct you to do so. The company just about has your information as in your email address your name and address this need to be looked into.
