At ************/******, myself and my out-of-town friend waited for a taxi to take us to my home in ***********. Upon entering the taxi, the driver pressed a button that said $120.00 (it wasnt even, but about that amount), then I was provided a personal device (cell phone) to enter an address to drive to.As a local, Im aware of the costs of this drive from ********* to my home. Its roughly $40-$60, plus tip.On the night of 12/15, the total cost without tip was $97.90. I continually asked the driver (Driver ******, **** *******, Vehicle ****) to specify the charges as I noticed the meter was rising significantly with each passing moment, and he replied twice, mileage plus distance.Upon arrival to my home, I inserted payment and selected zero tip, as Ive never been charged this ****** inflated amount (even at peak times). I said, I want you to know, Im not one to not tipbut this amount is absurd. (I even obtain car services regularly from Bell). The drivers reply was that he only drives two nights a week, owns a local gym, and that he could have stayed downtown to make better money since I wasnt tipping.Im unsure why the charge was such a ridiculously high amount?

On the 29th of april 2023 I took a taxi from the *************** pick up ********* to the airport. There was a total of 28 usd incl tax on the screen and I was asked 38 usd on arrival. After a big discussion he told me that it would be written on the receipt as I didnt believe him. He would only give me the receipt after I paid. I paid the 38 usd but got the receipt of 28 usd. I told him that I wanted my money back and I should pay what is written on the receipt and that I had to present the correct receipt at work to get my money refunded as it was a worktrip. He told me that he could print me the other receipt. He than printed his receipt that had also 28 on it of course. He told me to present my employer both receipts. I told him I would report him and he said I was welcome to because he did everything the way it was supposed to. The drivers name is ************************* and his driver number *****.
