  I want to warn fellow movers about the risks of purchasing leads from Equatemedia and Quote Runner. These companies operate under various names, including Budget Vanlines and 2 Movers, and likely many other websites. They also have ties to multiple broker companies.
  The leads they sell are often unusable—wrong numbers, uninterested customers, or people who never requested moving services. Instead of providing credits for bad leads, they’ve expanded their operations to avoid accountability.
  One of their most deceptive practices is transferring calls to movers without the customer explicitly requesting it. They call this process "Warm Calls," but in reality, it misleads both customers and moving companies. If movers attempt to address these issues, no responses to emails. When complaints are sent, the company claims they’ll escalate to management, nothing ever happens.
  They used to be on Wilshire Blvd in LA, they have since moved to Arizona seemingly to avoid consumer protection laws. The quality of their leads is abysmal. Calls often go straight to voicemail, customers either don’t answer or express frustration over repeated solicitations. Worse, some customers are pressured into booking jobs with Budget Vanlines or other affiliated companies, only for their contact information to still be sold to movers. It’s common to receive leads hours after the customer has already booked with another company.
  In some instances, they’ve even sent texts to customers discrediting the very moving companies they sell leads to, further manipulating the process. We’ve gathered extensive information on their deceptive practices and are awaiting the opportunity to join a class-action lawsuit against them. Until then, we will continue to share reviews and expose their unethical conduct.
  Charlie ****, a key figure in these operations, has no regard for the people affected by this scheme.

  Thanks for sharing your feedback. Just to clarify, Budget Van Lines doesn’t book moves or act as a broker—we provide lead generation services only. We never pressure customers, and any warm call transfers happen only after a customer shows interest in speaking with a mover.

  This company has drastically changed. Equate media used to be reliable Believe it or not. My original representative Karen would go through some measures in order to get any problem I had solved. Now I've been scammed into raising my bid three different times by Jarrell, and still receiving less leads than I've ever received with this company. I'm to the point where they're now telling me that leads get distributed to three different companies in my area who are spending over $30 per lead then whatever is left goes to the rest of us. This is not a system, that is a scam. I am blown away.

  Double selling (or more) eads that are supposed to be "EXCLUSIVE LEADS". They claim to sell these leads to one company only. However, they have sold them two two or more companies on multiple occasions to double dip when they are charging $40 per lead for exclusive leads (supposedly only to one company). We have caught them selling the same lead to multiple companies and for live calls. The client on the other end claims that someone from equate media keeps calling them and than transferring their call. So they are charging companies for fake calls. They are in fact calling people and than transferring them over to companies and billing the company however this individual has no idea what's going on and never called in to get a quote, so they will just hang up and say stop calling me. They don't realize, that we actually received their call as an incoming call as well.
  EQUATE MEDIA IS SMARTER THAN MOST LEAD PROVIDERS THOUGH, because when you first start out they give you high quality leads. The leads start out at a very high quality and alot of them are real. Than they start giving you bad leads after about 6 months. They lure you in with the real leads than they start taking advantage.
  I guess its a good industry to be in because there are no laws to govern them and no one regulating their activity. Probably is just a guy sitting in his living room digging for information to sell.

  They take your money and give you fake contact information. The live call transfer are fake too, these people are engaging in unethical practices with their customers to make money.They are defrauding business owners and I urge the federal agency whom regulates this trade to conduct an investigation. It is no coincidence that so many people on here are saying the same things! Jarrell was my sales person too and he is providing me and a lot of other businesses with fake information. To the best of my knowledge, no company is allowed to demand payment for false/fraudulent information.
