    We paid Diabetic Alert Dogs of America $500 to be put on a waiting list for my son to be matched with an alert dog. Two weeks later and prior to even being matched with a dog, we received a ***** through a foundation and asked to be removed from the waiting list. They refused to refund the $500, saying they only provide refunds for unsatisfied customers after delivery of the dog. They did remove us from the waiting list, but kept our money.

    This client entered into a contract with our organization to purchase a Diabetic Alert Service Dog. This contract was signed and dated on October 3rd 2024 (see attached contract) This contract was for a total of $18,000 in total. The client put down a $500 security deposit in good faith to be placed on the wait list to receive her Diabetic Alert Service Dog. This $500 security deposit paid towards the contract is non-refundable as agreed upon in writing within the contract. At some point this client changed their mind and decided they no longer wished to go through with the contract or get a Diabetic Alert Service Dog through our company. We explained to the client that we can and will hold or (not enforce) the full $18,000 however, by changing their mind they would forfeit their security deposit paid under the contract. As outlined in writing we have a no-refunds policy with the exception of our money back satisfaction guarantee that can be provided to clients that receive their Service Dog and are not satisfied in any way. This guarantee is for clients that follow through with the contract and receive their Service Dog, not for clients that simply change their minds during the fulfillment process.
