    9:30am-10:00am April 5, 2023. An Instructor from this business was teaching a class using my front yard as the classroom. I have private property signs. I do not know why my house was chosen in all of *********. I did not call them. They did not ask permission to survey or use their tools in my yard. When I approached they were poking metal rods into my yard. The instructor said sorry we slid this ways a bit while standing fully in my property with about **** students. Again, I have private property signs for a reason, did not call them, and when they got here I was not notified they would need to use my property.

    Thank you for letting us know about this incident.  Please know that we take concerns of this type very seriously.  We are contracted to do the underground utility locating for ************* in that area. When we conduct training classes, we sometimes find vacant lots to practice in for our field training, and this incident occurred during one of those times.  We were actually doing some electrical locate training at the house to the left of ******'s that is vacant that also happens to have a transformer located on the right front corner of the property. We did knock on ******'s door upon arrival but there was no answer.  When she came home, our Trainer and approximately two other Technicians happened to be standing in her yard.  When she came over to ask what we were doing, our Trainer explained we were practicing locating next door at the vacant house and due to the uneven yard, a few of us were standing below in her yard.  Our Trainer explained that we did knock on her door but there was no answer and that we were only in her yard for safe standing and observation. Our Trainer immediately motioned the two Technicians over to the vacant lot and apologized for any inconvenience.  This was a large class of 13 but it was very close to our training classroom and we were only there for convenience.  All of the trainees were very professional at the time.
