I have been coming to the place of business since May 17, 2024 for multiple electrical issues which have caused my vehicle to have major electrical issues and Im requesting to be refunded due to my vehicle being unable to be safely repaired and driven without possible stalling out due to loss of power. September 10th my windshield was hit by a rock on 215. My partner researched multiple glass repair places and found CA auto glass repair and installation. Our appointment was September 13. Upon arrival the location was set up with 4 carport tents for installs, tarps hung as walls. The window glass was stored outside. Upon completion we did notice that the installation may not have been a perfect fit. There is a gap between the ceiling and windshield. We called the location and they insisted that the install was done correctly for a third party window install. They asked for pictures of he areas in question. If we had problems to come down so they could look at the window. At that time since they were not willing to accept responsibility of the issue I didnt want to continue dealing with them. I felt with the defect until more issues came ***** October I attempted to clean the windshield but it just looked worse. Ive tried every product to clean it and nothing has worked. I never thought this could possibly be an issue due to the windshield. The wipers now randomly turn on. This is something that is common and I didnt associate it with a windshield replacement. I went to a new tint and windshield replacement company who attempted to help clean the windshield. Upon their review they determined that it was not the windshield for my 2023 model Y, but actually for an older model. This also impacted the sensors for the wipers. They determined that based on how the glass was stored it cured in presently due to sunlight and being outside, which causes the entire windshield to have a haze or streaking that cannot be cleaned. This is a driving hazard as I am not able to have a clean view while driving. On November 18th, I contacted to the company who said I was outside the warranty period, but I could come down and they could look at it and replace if appropriate. I advised I was not willing to come down and wanted a full refund on the fault product. They refused.Initial Complaint

Took car in for ******** repair. Paid $288. And during the process of getting the windshield replaced, they broke my car mirror safety features for the front part of my vehicle deactivating my frontal collision warning, pedestrian warning, Lane departure warning I called and they admitted that they broke the piece inside of my mirror and said to wait two weeks and they would replace the part. I waited three weeks and took my vehicle in. They said they replaced the part and they recalibrated my windshield. Which was not true and they did not replace the part. And they are refusing to take my vehicle and fix the damages that broke that are going to cost me from anywhere between $600-$3000 to replace and re-calibrate some thing that they broke. I do have the original receipt from when I paid for the windshield to get replaced. And they did take accountability and acknowledge that they broke apart. In order to know if a vehicle is going to need calibration the vehicle needs to be driven for a couple of hours after installation. We went ahead and reached out to the customer on 09/20/2024 where she informed us that it in fact did not recalibrate on its own, we went ahead and scheduled her to come in Tues 09/24/2024 at 8am to recalibrate. We also did inform her that we in fact did replaced the windsheilds camera and even have the old broken one here at our shop where we can go ahead a show it to her as well.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because car is still having the same issues I brought it in on 8/20 like stated in above message. Sat for five hours before car was looked at and they said they ordered the wrong part and they could have it the next day. I had to wait an additional two days but they were kind enough to send someone out to me. The car is still having the same issue where none of the safety features for the front of my vehicle is working they are still all currently deactivated. After doing some research on the internet I believe the problem is with the windshield that was put on. As on the top of the windshield there are two lines that are blocking the camera view for the camera to be able to see properly so these safety features can work. On the internet it says that this could be causing the isssue as if there is glue or anything in front of the camera it can cause it to be deactivate. I will try to upload the pictures taken with file.

Per previous attachments this is an example of what I believe to be the issue. They replaced my windshield with the improper windshield as they should not have any lines within the camera view as it can effect these safety features in the vehicle.

We ordered a new camera replacement for our customer and even scheduled a technician to come out to her address to install it to accomodate her schedule. After my technician installed it no lights were appearing on her dash as to why we assumed the issue was resolved we also did not hear from the cusomter in the following days to where now it has been about 2 weeks and we are now being aware through this complaint. We have tried calling the customer as well as texting her to schedule her to bring the vehicle in for recalibration and have not had any luck reaching her. We are more than happy to fix any problems on her vehicle if caused by us but we need to be called and made aware of the issues immeiately we will continue to try and reach her to resolve this for her.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
They were not able to fix the problem. But made an appointment with bmw on 10/14/24 and they payed the bill for bmw to correct the issue and the isssue got resolved.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 22307436, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The original transaction took place June 12, 2024. I returned June 21, 2024. They broke my rear review mirror and the owner attempted to charge me an extra $20 to replace it and became hostile and angry with me because I refused to pay for the damage they caused. Then they replaced the mirror with one that does not go to my car. The owner got upset with me because I stood firm that I was not paying for something I didnt break. He was also upset over the top review because they quoted me one thing and charged me an extra $5. He also told me God was going to get me karma is real. Listen to how he talks to me in the video. If you are smart you would avoid this business altogether. I would like my mirror replaced with the correct mirror for my car and my additional $5.00 I was overchargedBusiness Response

The customer came into my business on 06/12/24 for the replacement of her windshield which she was quoted the price of $175 plus tax for putting her total at $189.65 she was not ok with the price therefore we only went ahead and charged her $5 more putting her new total at $180 flat. The customer then left a bad review on our business for the extra $5 dollars she was charged, almost 3 weeks later on 06/28/24 she came back into my establishment acting eratic yelling at my employess insulting and calling them names claiming we also broke her rear view mirror... 3 weeks later? then going back and updating her review about the "broken mirror" after reviewing her yelp profile I could see what kind of person I was dealing with 90% of her reviews were bad seeming like she expects complimentary items of discounts for no reason. Customer also uploaded a video claiming i was being rude and aggressive for responding to her insults and yelling while she no longer was speaking to me in the same way she was when coming in to my busniess regarding the mirror. I have attached a couple of the reviews she has left for other buinesses but there is many many more than that. I went ahead and replaced her broken mirror with one that cost more than the one she originally had and did not have her pay anything for it.

I am rejecting this response because: I never came to business on June 12, 2024 inquiring about the replacement of the windshield as all my communication with the business was by the telephone and text message. I was quoted $175.00 over the phone and by text message. Taxes not were disclosed or discussed. When I asked way I was being charged the additional $5.00 the office assistant said the price was the price and it was not up for debate. *********** has it posted all of the shop to leave a review about the customer service received and I did leave a review on my experience. Even in the video I have he told me to update the review and I did as requested by him.
I returned a week later to let them know the rear mirror was broken and returned the follow Friday because it was still not repaired properly. My reviews other companies have nothing to do with their hostile behavior towards and I have never received anything complimentary from other established that he can prove in Court. That statement alone is slander and defamation of my character.
The rear view replaced in my car is not better than the mirror that was in my car and not the equipment that belongs to my car. I was never rude to him or anyone at his establishment. I would like my original mirror and my car repaired to the minor in which it was given to Cali Auto Glass. *********** definitely threatened me and now I am looking at over $300.00 to replace my rear view mirror. The text message is a legal binding contract and does not say anything about taxes. *********** can replace my rear view mirror with the correct mirror for my car or provide me the funds to go to ******* to have the mirror replaced.

When the customer came in to get her windshield replacement on 06/12/24 the bracket to her rear view mirror was already broken. The technican who did her replacement when ahead and glued it back together so she wouldnt have to continue driving around with a broken bracket. Three weeks later when the customer came back regarding the broken mirror we went ahead and replaced it with an upgraded mirror for her as a couresty for the extra $5 charge knowing we had already tried to repair it for her three weeks prior. The broken mirror is not something we orginally damaged and is now completely replaced and functioning, as far as her windshield she has lifetime warranty on the labor if anything would occur in the future.
