I am transferring my service to another address. They will shut service off at my current address in the middle of a billing cycle but WILL not prorate my account. They are making me pay for the entire billing cycle even though the services will be turned off. I will be paying for a service at an address I no longer live at and at the the new address I am moving to for the same exact calendar days.

Ms. ************** service will be moved on the date she requested, and the billing will stop at her current address on the date requested and start at her new address on that same date, there will be no overlapping of billing from address to address. We are sorry for the misunderstanding. Thank you

In June 2021 I moved to ******************** *****************,** *****. **** informed that the cable TV and internet were provided by the home owner association. I contacted the cable co,TDS, and was connected to the service. In or about May 2022 the TDS Basic Bulk service contract with Sun City expired. Sun city residents were advised to turn in the cable boxes and to make arrangements to continue service with TDS. I turned in the box left by previous home owner and arranged internet service only (IOS) because of being on a fixed income (retired). No new equipment or devices were provided,The internet service only (***) continued to rise in cost over the months..In July 2022 I contacted TDS after the bill had gone up to over eighty dollars a month for ***. I explained could not afford due to fixed income, so they lowered to $ 62 dollars a month. It should be noted that I was getting *** with no modem since the changeover from Sun City in May 2022.Again, over the months the *** bill continued to rise. I was still only receiving *** with no cable TV since May2022.Around the first of March of 2023 I canceled TDS and obtained another internet provider still getting ***. I was advised to come to the TDS office and pay cable bill up to end of billing cycle on March 14th 2023.On March 31, 2023 I went to office and was advised that my final bill was $237.94 with $150 being charged for not turning in a modem.. I told the woman that I turned in what the previous owner gave me in the middle of 2022. I asked what the modem looked like because I have been getting *** for a year without any modem in my house. She showed me a white plastic modem that I have never seen before. She said one of that type was checked out to me and never returned. Not ,,,,,, Like I said I have never seen a modem of that type before and I have received *** up until March of 2023.TDS in their sloppy paperwork took $150 dollars of my money and I want it returned...
