I had this detailed come detail my car, this would be the second time he detailed it. First was at a business and it was done well so I called him for a second job. This time he insisted on using chemicals to wash my Range Rover Velar instead of a standard soap and water wash. I told him that it made me uncomfortable and that I would rather he washed it like last time and use soap and water he pleaded with me to try it this way and that I would love it. He did not complete the job on the first day, so he was going to come back a second day but he said the exterior was complete. Once I saw my car in the light (it was dark when he left) I could see how horribly done by exterior was, it was left with streaks all over and a film like layer on the windshield. I texted him saying I would like a refund and that I was so dissatisfied and disappointed in this exterior wash that I wasnt comfortable with him coming back. He begged me to come back and redeem himself and I let him. I then found damage to the car and said I was no longer comfortable with him touching my car and that he needed to leave. He refused to leave and kept trying to put stuff on my car. I told him I wanted a refund, at this time the interior wasnt even touched. He states he will give me a refund as long as I dont contact insurance and that I sign a release saying that I dont hold him liable for the damages and can not pursue action in terms of suing him for damages. I wasnt going to sign, but we came to an agreement that I am owed the money, I have emails saying that I am owed the money, I can obtain the audio from my neighbors ring doorbell that will show the beginning conversation of me asking to do a regular wash and him guaranteeing his chemical wash or a full refund. Below you will see the damage done by the chemicals he put on my car. It is like this on both sides of my spoiler.
