      Maurice, the owner of Making Memories, was contacted in January 2022 as a vendor for our wedding in August 2022. Maurice promised to provide services that included serving and bar staff, catering, a champagne wall, dinner plates and cutlery. Maurice sent an invoice for $6,512 for these services, which we paid $6,321.70 of with agreed on payment dates. (Maurice only accepts payments through Venmo). Maurice set up a catering tasting what was suppose to be on March 13th, but on March 11th cancelled and promised a phone call and to reschedule. Maurice was contacted several times to reschedule and failed to respond which caused us to make the decision to book with a new caterer. On April 30th, Maurice was told and asked to send an updated invoice as he now owed us money. Maurice said that he would send an updated invoice on May 1st but that was never sent. On June 20th, Maurice was asked again to send an updated invoice which he failed to respond. I reached out again on July 1st and he said he would get it updated and give us a call on Wednesday. That phone call never happened nor did we receive an updated invoice. On July 7th I reached out to Maurice to let him know that this was the 4th and final time I was going to reach out for coordination and an updated invoice and I wanted refund on the money we have paid as we had not received the services we were promised. Maurice responded with a sob story and excuses. On July 14th, Maurice promised a refund. Since then we have reached out 7 + times to get our refund and have only heard excuses. Maurice claimed he was "reaching out to vendors to get a refund." I contacted all vendors that Maurice claimed he had already paid for services for our wedding and all reported that they had no record of him booking with them. We have yet to get a refund from Maurice or a reason as to why it has taken over a month to receive a refund. Our wedding was on August 20th and Maurice failed to provide the services her promised.
