      On 9_23_24 I traveled from Janesville, CA to Reno, NV to arrive early to my surgical appointment with Dr. J**** of the Western Surgical Group, located at **** * ******** ****, Reno NV. The drive took over 2 hours. I arrived early and check in with the front desk, where they had me fill out my profile. The appointment was made more than a month earlier by my referring doctor /dermatologist located in Susanville, CA. Western chose the appointment date and confirmed it on Aug 22 2024. My Susanville dermatologist sent a letter and documents to Western at that time describing the surgical excision which needed to be done on my back. After check in I was placed in a room and interviewed by a nurse; the Doc checked in and said that a separate room was being prepared for the surgery. After some 30 to 44 minutes later, a nurse came in and told me that they couldn't get approval from my insurance. I have United Healthcare / Medicare as my provider. This procedure was requested by my Doc in Susanville who provided written request and who pres-authorized more than 30 days prior. Western knew where I was traveling from and had plenty of time to complete the insurance approval step prior to my visit. I offered to call the insurance company at the time to fix the misunderstanding and was told to leave the office. I left extremely upset and drove home.
      I am seeking they not charge my card for anything plus monetary damages for time spent traveling to and from their botched appointment plus where and tear on my vehicle @ $0.50 per mile which totals Hours 6 = $600 plus per mile cost of $80 , total of $680.
