Complaint Against Social Sierra Marketing - Misleading Practices and Poor Service

We initially hired Social Sierra Marketing to revamp our website for Reno Tree Service, for which we paid $1000. Additionally, we contracted them to build a new website for tree sales, for which we paid $4000. However, after completing the Reno Tree Service website, they unilaterally switched it to the new website without implementing the necessary redirects. As a result, our website, which had maintained a prominent position on search engine results for over a decade, suddenly became untraceable on the internet.

When we raised concerns about this drastic drop in online visibility, Social Sierra Marketing advised us to invest in Google Ads to regain our previous ranking. They convinced us to sign another contract for three months of Google Ads, assuring us that this was the only solution to restore our online presence. We were charged an additional $1000 for running the ads and 300 a month for postings, bringing the total amount paid to $7900.

Upon seeking a second opinion from another SEO company, we learned that Social Sierra Marketing's actions had severely compromised our website's SEO optimization. They should have used redirects to maintain our Google ranking during the website transition. As a result, we have lost 12 years of online presence and SEO work.

Realizing the extent of the damage caused by Social Sierra Marketing's negligence, we decided to cancel the contract for the website they had not yet started building. Despite this, they have refused to refund the $4000 we paid for the website development.

We are deeply dissatisfied with the service provided by Social Sierra Marketing, and we believe that their actions constitute misleading practices and negligence. We request a full refund of the $4000 paid for the website development, as well as reimbursement for any additional costs incurred as a result of their actions.

    Sincerely,
    ********* ******* and ****** *****
