First Centennial closed the escrow in late October 2024. Despite a "demand letter" from the HOA telling First Centennial the exact amount of the Seller's remaining assessment, First Centennial did not charge the seller this amount and did not remit this amount to the HOA. As such, the HOA began charging me for the assessment. While the seller ultimately owes the assessment amount, it was First Centennial's responsibility to transfer the money. I first raised this issue in December 2024 and First Centennial has charged the seller some money, but not the correct amount (ie, the amount they were provided in October 2024). Ultimately, it's almost 8 months and dozens of emails later and First Centennial has not admitted nor fixed their mistake. They continue to stall and blame the HOA despite the HOA providing timestamped paper trail showing that First Centennial made the mistake.

I contacted this business regarding title company services and after being told I would hear back from Cheryl D******** I never did. I called and left her a message about 10 days later and also emailed her directly but she never had the courtesy to respond or contact me. It has now been 3 weeks and still I have heard absolutely nothing. If a business does not want to do business with someone they need to at least have the common courtesy of contacting the person back and letting them know that instead of just ignoring them and giving them the runaround. I need a service and if they are not going to provide it they need to let me know so I can seek another business to help me instead of just leaving me hanging! How absolutely rude and unprofessional ! I would never do business with this company as they are incompetent and completely unprofessional!! My Rating: F

      Business Response

Thank you very much for allowing us to respond. Customer service is our strongest cultural driver at FCT, and it’s very rare that we receive a complaint like this. We take pride in always striving to find solutions to the inevitable problems we’re presented with in this industry, which has led to First Centennial Title being the industry leader in Northern Nevada.

We immediately started our investigation by discussing the complaint with the Escrow Officer that was mentioned, and her recollection of the conversation was that Ms. **** was inquiring about an issue that wasn’t within our purview as a Title company. She seems to recall that it had to do with a dispute with the owner of a property in Lyon County. Ultimately she wasn’t able to provide Ms. **** with the assistance she was looking for and suggested she contact an attorney.

I’m always happy to speak to Ms. **** if she’d like, and maybe I can evaluate and make a referral to an attorney who can provide the service she’s inquiring about.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: This woman is lying! She never responded at all after I contacted her several times!

Any business that values customer service knows that communication is the key to success. I should have been contacted with this info. but she obviously didn't want to bother. Well she puts an ugly stain on your business and I reject her lies and refusal to simply communicate rather than leave someone hanging who is seeking help right away, How unprofessional and selfish. No I do not want a legal referral from someone who lacks character like this..

      Sincerely,

      ****** ****
