WE called the Neveada heating and cooling because the AC was not wroking and kept throwing the breaker. They mentioned it was an older model and suggested we replace the whole thing I asked if they could fix it they said sure they could replace a coil and fan and it should get a few more years out of it. We agreed and they completed the repairs and nothing changed. I told them to take back the parts and replace the old ones that day and they refused.we complained and they said too bad you already paid all we can do is give you credit towards a new 10k plus system. This was not only a predatory sales practices, actively lying to me saying it was not fixable after telling me it was and then trying to upsell me to a new system. They should not have charged me the money since they could not fix the system. They also sent over their other person to quote me on a new system and he also said the previous technical should never have done what he did and that we should not be charged. We had another, actually competent, HVAC service person come in and they right away recognized the issue with the breaker flipping, noting it was simply a fuse that needing switching. he switched it and all has been fine since then. the"broken/unfixable" system is fine. They also did not even charge more then the service call. This Nevada Heating and Cooling scammers out of Sparks NV should be ashamed of how their practicing business and people should be advised!Business Response

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. At Nevada Heating, we take every concern seriously and strive to provide the best service possible. After thoroughly reviewing the details of this case, we would like to clarify the events and resolution.
Upon inspection of ****** HVAC ******* we advised that replacement would be the most reliable long-term solution based on the condition of the equipment. However, **** opted for a repair, despite our recommendation for replacement. We ensured all options were presented clearly, and we have documentation proving that **** authorized the repair.
When the system failed again at a later date, **** chose to have it replaced by another company and subsequently requested a refund for the initial repair. As the repair was the customer's choice and fully compliant with industry standards, we do not believe a refund is warranted.
We believe this issue has been fully resolved, and we stand by the quality of service provided. Based on our records and compliance with industry guidelines, we respectfully request that this complaint be closed.

I purchased a fireplace insert from Nevada Heating in 2014. The unit plus labor was thousands of dollars. I purchased an annual service contract as well. This unit was a complete lemon and I had to have it serviced several times a year when it stopped working, and they charged for that too. I was so frustrated that I finally terminated my contract with them and was looking to replace the unit with a gas fireplace. I had two fireplace distributors come out for an estimate. They said Nevada Heating removed the airbox and they would not touch it as it was not compliant. They said I needed an entire demo to remove the insert, replace the airbox and purchase a new fireplace. They recommended I call Nevada Heating and tell them to make it right as this now affects the resales of my house. Nevada Heating came out twice to try and fix my insert, but it broke down again twice. Then they canceled on me twice during December, so I finally told them I was going to use another place. I once again had fireplace experts come out and they still won't touch it. I have told Nevada Heating for the last two weeks that they need to make this right and now they don't return my calls.Business Response

The fireplace installation in question was completed over 11 years ago, in 2013. We worked with the customer throughout the years, but stand by the installation and service provided. As this matter falls well beyond the statute of limitations, we are unable to address it further.

I am rejecting this response because:This response shows how little they care. The issue is that they removed the air box which I only found out about last year. (oh, and they sold me a lemon). They removed the air box and therefore, when I went to purchase a new fireplace, two other distributors said that they would not install a new unit as the airbox has been removed and is no longer compliant/
It is bad enough they sold me a lemon insert - I had to have them back time and time again to repair this long before the 11 years. It was an issue from the time I bought it. This has been going on since they installed, and we can subpoena all the documents and depose all of their past employees who are all very familiar with the issues and how long this has been going in. I did not find out about the airbox until last year, so I am still well in my rights.
I sent a message to the owner, ****, asking for him to replace the airbox and they can sell me a new fireplace at cost. I received zero response. Please do post this, by all means.
Sincerely,
***** *****Initial Complaint

Service tech arrived and tried to pressure me into spending $23,500. When I went forward (after he has been at my house for 2 hours long past 5pm) the financing was not what was told to me. I asked for a day to think about it. He collected $125 for coming to my house and failing to pressure me into buying an entire new system. I ended up accepting a lower priced system and got an install date. The install people arrived and said the space for AC was too small. The sales person/service tech did not measure. They offered to relocate the AC to opposite side of house for $3000 more. I then personally ripped boards off my deck to make space. I went to inform the installers there was space. They were packing their truck saying their manager told them it was now too late in the day to start. It was 1045 am. After offering to pay extra for them to work late, the best they could do was come back 5 days later. I canceled the whole contract. They left my system completely inoperable and when I called asking for someone to restore it to functionality when they arrived I was told nobody is going to come because I “aggressively threw them off my property”. This is completely untrue. I begged them to stay and offered to pay them extra in cash. Now my system is completely broken down. Not even the fan will turn on. I am still waiting for my $125 refund since they fixed nothing and refused to proceed with the install. Now my deck is torn up and another company charging me 1/2 the price will be installing a better system than what I signed for from NV Heating. I have since learned this is no longer a local business. A big company in Las Vegas bought the company and there have been complaints ever since. It wont be long before their rating drops significantly.Business Response

Thank you for your feedback. At the time of booking, the diagnostic fee was clearly communicated and agreed upon by the customer. Our technician visited the home, assessed the system, and provided a diagnosis of the issue. Although the customer chose not to proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee still applies, as the service was completed as agreed.
