    I called and scheduled an initial meeting. They took our address and set an appointment, Confirmed by email, and called to confirm the appointment the day before. On the day of the appointment at 12:00 pm, I called the office to confirm when they would be out as we had not seen anyone yet. The office put me on hold and called ***** When they got back on the phone, they told me **** drove by the house and determined I was too far out to service and when he got back to the office he would call me with a referral. If I had not called in, I would have been waiting all day for a no-show on this appointment that they called me confirmed the night before.Why did **** not pull in and tell us in person?They had our address from the start. Why did they not look at a map and ensure we were in their service area before they made the appointment?Look, they say they service Minden and ************ and offer Free Estamates, but this information seems not totally correct.I would not been mad if they said, based on your address, you are outside our service area.I would not been mad if they had shown up to the appointment, shook my hand and said we are sorry we did not realize you are outside our services area.It is disrespectful to schedule an appointment a week out and confirm the meeting with me twice and then just not show up. I am sharing this so others can consider whether this is a company they want to do business with. I am thankful they showed their true colors upfront.

    We have been customers of Grillo for almost 20 years. Your office worker hung up in my face today after telling me to find someone else to do my yardwork. I have made two appointments to have the outside of my home sprayed for spiders. My husband died recently and I keep the gate to the backyard locked. I don't always hear someone at the door so I ask for a quick call to my cell phone so I can unlock gate and bring dog in. Office worker stated customer contact is discouraged because a tech recently had a three hour appointment because he didn't know how to disengage himself from a conversation with a customer. However she did not mention that today as a reason for the tech not calling me but said you were extremely busy. So for both appointments she gave a different reason why your tech could not give me a quick call to notify me he was here. I can assure you I am not interested in friendly conversation but only in getting the job done. I have seen several black widow nests around outside of my home. It saddens me that after all these years, I must find a new landscape company. When my husband was alive he and I were always happy with service. Office worker's behavior in hanging up on me was disrespectful and unnecessary. Yes, I was upset and I know she was busy but after working in the customer service industry for many years I know there are much better alternatives than hanging up on a customer.

    Unfortunately, this customer refused to unlock her gate ahead of time when told techs would be there the next day. She demanded a phone call when the tech was in her area. Our technicians are under strict time constraints, and they do not have a company phone in the truck to call the customer. After our third attempt to spray her back area, and finding the gate locked yet again; she was told that we would no longer service her property due to her requirement of special contact and refusal to allow access. Also we are a chemical spray company and not a gardening service, we do not do yard clean up. Upon review of this customer's account she has had many complaints and gripes over the years, most concerning techs not calling her from the road.
