I accepted a contract to install an ac/ furnace on 6/1. They came out and at the end of the install there was an issue that had meant the unit would not work so they would come back. Tried to book me over a month out and I said no that is ridiculous. I paid the first half of the nearly 10 thousand dollar fee for the service and unit. They come out again June 18th. Claim it is the same part issue and will ask manufacturer for a refund. Hear nothing from them until 6/23 to let me know they can come 6/25 with the replacement part. They come out and “try” to repair but say wrong replacement part sent. Say manufacturer refuses a refund and that they will waive the 3.5% cc fee. Still not working and I sent in my first half payment in April of 2023.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/21/2023

We are responding to your notification
of a complaint letters dated June 26, July 06, and July 20, 2023.  Please be advised that this complaint was
first brought to our attention when ***** ******* had placed a call to our office
notifying us of the complaint, which is why we had not responded as we were
unaware. We had not received notification emails as BBB uses Mail Chimp, an
email host, so all emails from BBB were blocked by our spam filtering service.

      ****** ****** entered into
contract with Marraccini’s on April 28, 2023 and paid the down payment required
to begin the A/C and furnace installations. Per her request, the down payment
check was cashed on May 3, 2023 and an appointment was set for June 01, 2023.
As a company, we assume all equipment ordered from our suppliers will work in a
satisfactory manner. Unfortunately that did not happen in this case. There was
a faulty part in the A/C and a replacement was immediately ordered. The
replacement part arrived and an appointment was set for June 18th.
This part also arrived faulty and a replacement was ordered the next day as
June 18th was a Sunday and is outside of normal Marraccini and
supplier operating hours. As soon as the replacement part arrived, an
appointment was set for June 25th, also a Sunday. This was an
incorrect part as the part number was wrong in the supplier’s system. An email
was sent this same day to the supplier. They responded at 7:08 am on Monday the
26th and Marraccini’s was informed that the correct part was at a
minimum of 4 weeks backorder. Marraccini’s felt that would take too long and
purchased an additional evaporator coil to retrieve the needed part from. This
cost was not passed on to Ms. ******. The evaporator coil was delivered on June
26th, also at an additional cost absorbed by Marraccini’s. The A/C
was finished and started up on June 26th. We returned on July 17th to again verify A/C is functioning as it should and was at its peak
performance. We will be returning around October to verify furnace is operating
at its peak performance as this needs to be performed when weather is cooler at
no charge to Ms. *******. If you have any questions or
need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
