On April 5, 2022 Robert S ****** accepted a $500 retainer to complete $3,300 worth of masonry work for me. On April 16, 2022 Rob accepted $1,150 to complete the 1/2 down & we agreed that the work would be completed by May 23, 2022. After many excuses, we agreed to move the deadline to May 31. The job wasn't done again, so we moved the deadline to June 30. Rob sloppily put concrete on 2 small concrete slabs & removed everything from the existing expansion joints. Rob put some material in the expansion joints, got concrete all over my driveway & on some decorative brickwork. Since he removed everything between the concrete slabs and my foundation, I started getting leaks in my basement and Rob didn't come back. I texted Rob & this time he offered to refund all but the cost of supplies. I asked that he just complete the work. He agreed. The job wasn't done again, Rob offered to refund all but the cost of supplies and labor. We agreed again that he would complete the work by July 31. I didn't hear anything from Rob unless I initiated a call or text. On August 22, 2022 I sent Rob a text requesting $1,300 be refunded to me & haven't anything from him. Now I am requesting a complete refund because I have to not only get all of the original work done, but I have to have the basement fixed and the entire driveway coated. So what little work he did do, is costing me more money, let alone the aggravation or trying to get someone to do the work because the colder weather sets in.

Duplicate complaintRobert S ****** was hired to complete $3,300 worth of masonry. This included repairing concrete slabs, replacing expansion joints and recoating the concrete driveway. Rob removed all of the existing expansion joints and sloppily added concrete to two small concrete slabs. Concrete was spilled on the driveway and on decorative brinks surrounding my stairs. The concrete that was added to the two small concrete slabs has cracked in several places after being in place for about 2 months. I hired Rob on April 5, 2022 to have the work completed by May 23, 2022. I gave him a $500 retainer on April 5 and the remaining deposit of $1,150 on 4/16/22. After several excuses, Rob said he would have the work completed by May 31, 2022. When that date passed, I called him and he apologized and said the work would be completed by June 30, 2022. Rob offered to refund my money minus the cost of supplies. I told him I'd rather he complete the job I hired him for. He agreed. When that date passed, I called him and he apologized again and said the work would be done by July 31, 2022. This time he offered to refund all but supplies and labor. Again, I said I'd rather he do the work. He agreed. On August 22, 2022 I sent him a text that at minimum I'd like a refund of $1,300 since the work that was done made the sidewalk & driveway worse than it was before and if I didn't get the money back, I'd notify the BBB & Attorney General to get all of my money back. He has not responded at all. In researching his ******** page, he put a notice up that he needed some work for the month of August, so it's obvious he has no intention of giving me my money or doing to work. I reached out to a Mr. ******** *** ****** on ******** because he commented on Robs page that Rob had pulled the same scam on him. There was also a comment from ****** ****** stating Rob had pulled the scam on her too.
