      Brought my ******** vehicle here for service. Originally bought from the Goldstein *** store on Central Ave, but was told I need to bring my car to the Latham location for service. They diagnosed a problem, (my airbag sensor light is on) and I paid $170 for that, but they had to order the part (a new seatbelt buckle) so I had to wait. They never called me and let me know the part was in. Ended up calling and scheduling an appointment 4 months after this. Bring my car there. They put the new seat belt buckle in, and raise the price without getting it pre-authorized from me that I still want the work done at a higher price, called the service manager about this and he agrees to the original price. I go to pick up and pay and when I drive away within 5 minutes the airbag light comes back on. I immediately went right back to the shop and they say that they don't know why and they'll need further time to figure it out. I was already waiting for my car for a week and they let me know they had no rental cars available to offer me and they are unsure of how long they must further keep my car. They did offer a shuttle back home or to the dealership when picking up again, but I was never made aware of this before and would not have missed my appt time originally if I knew that. I let them know I would like a refund and will never be doing a business there again. When discussing the refund my service advisor told me she would go get the manager but the manager refused to come out and talk to me. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Could not even come out and apologize for wasting my time with unneeded repairs. I had other issues with my car that needed diagnostics so I also had to pay $340 for 2 other problems, one of which they could not even tell me what was wrong. I understand that not everything is easy to figure out, but the lack of communication & transparency is why they are losing my business and getting a bad review.

      I did not want to give one star, but I could not leave the review without a star. NEGATIVE 5 starts. Shady, rude, and poor customer service. I was advised by **** **** to contact this dealer for warranty/paint work. They refused to help me and told me to go back to where I purchased my Jeep. I contacted **** **** again, they advised the dealership most certainly are to do the work as they have a body shop and I could go to the service department and call them while I am there, and they will speak to them. Seriously? How is Goldstein operating on their own rules? If you need service/warranty work, go to ****** in Saugerties they know customer service and are very very friendly!

      While we are a Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Dealership and we do indeed have a collision center, currently, we are only booking in our current customers for Warranty Paint work. As one of the only Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Stores in the area that has a Collision Center, we have a tremendous amount work – in addition to the normal Collision work a standard Collision Center would have, and must prioritize the vehicles we sold before attempting to take on other dealers sold vehicles. We understand that frustration involved and hope one would understand that we try to put our current Customer’s first.

      I purchased a used ******** ******** from Goldstein in Latham NY, with all the warranties. 2 years later my engine seized, I followed all the requirements of my warranties brought the van to Goldstein they had my van for over 30 days claiming that their warranty company was holding up the process. I’ve had multiple conflicting stories from the service department and was treated very poorly by the store manager. They claim the warranty company closed my original claim and they had to open a new one all while telling me this is not their fault. They lie when they sell the car and they continue to lie throughout any repairs.

      We appreciate your patience while we deal with the issues on your warranty claim. It was unfortunate that the warranty company closed your claim without notifying us. Once we were aware of that we reopened the claim. We do value our customers, so we also provided you with a rental vehicle and tore down the motor for inspection at our expense because we wanted to expedite getting you and your vehicle back on the road. Although the replacement engine has been approved, unfortunately there is a back order on the engines and as we informed you the ETA for the new engine is December 20th. We will continue to be in contact with you, but please feel free keep in touch with Crystal after that date.
