  I contracted with this company over 4 weeks ago for roof repairs. After electronically signing the agreement I heard nothing back, so I called and they scheduled me for the following Friday. They didn't show nor have I heard back from them since. Apparently, this repair isn't worth their time or effort; this is customer service at it's worst - I'm not wasting my time even calling again; if they're unwilling to show up or contact you when you want to pay for their services, imagine the difficulty reaching them if your dissatisfied with the work. Look elsewhere.

  We paid for a flat roof replacement, and our contract included fixing a soft spot and adding new drip edge flashing. We hired this company because we had rainwater cascading over the front edge of our roof. We were told a new roof would fix this issue. It was never brought up to us that it could be gutter issues. Lo and behold, the new roof did not solve the issue.
  We got a bad feeling right away. They did not start on the date we were given. The crew did not speak English and there was no Project Manager on site when we arrived. They left the job site early the first day because they ran out of propane (though there was a propane shop within walking distance from the house), and after two days of working, and “finishing” the job, they never installed the drip edge flashing until we called asked why. Mr. Haner, the gentleman who sold the job (and whom was never seen again) said that should have been done and sent someone back. BUT, their most egregious offense was the soft spot was never fixed! Thankfully, we went with our gut instinct and hired someone to inspect their work. We called the owner and she sent someone back to repair the soft spot. This entailed ripping up the new lining and replacing the rotted plywood. So, in the end, we got a new roof with a patch job, and had to pay additional money to hire an actual professional to check their unprofessional work. UNACCEPTABLE!
  We can happily provide our photos and all documented correspondence to support this review.
  We would NEVER do business with Klaus Roofing Systems of Upstate NY LLC again. It was a downright shady and unsettling experience.
  Run far and run fast ----- away from this company.

  I agree with the previous review. These people are frauds. They took a considerable deposit from me and sent someone who only speaks Spanish to repair my roof. His family was in the truck.
  He started putting on slate that was cracked, broken on the edges, had moss on it and was dirty. When I spoke with the owner, she said, "No one uses new slate anymore" and tried to intimidate me by saying they worked with the city and historic preservation community.
  Their card lists the BBB logo and as you can see above they are not accredited.
  Efforts on email and via a return receipt request through the mail got no response. My next step is the Attorney General's office of Consumer Protection,
  DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE AND COUNT YOUR FINGERS IF YOU SHAKE HANDS.

  Mrs ******, this absolutely far from the truth. I have pictures of your roof. Your repair was 1475.00. You paid half down. Slate is a natural stone and we clean and can use use tiles when necessary so that it matches old roof s like yours. You had us use your slate and now stands out and doesn’t match and is noticeable. Again that was your choice. We completed the job using what you asked us to use which did not match and you did not pay for the balance of the work. You have not responded to any of our emails. Nor have you emailed us as stated in your complaint. We also have pictures of our slat from that day and it was not cracked. No one intimidated you by any means. Your repair was completed and we used your slate and again you did not pay the balance.

  Jarrod H*** was sued by the states attorney general in 2006. The States attorney said he had to put up $100,000 bond before he could practice construction again just in case people needed to sue him. So instead his wife open the business, and there’s some kind of franchise for a somewhat respected company. Do not hire these people. They have an OK roof crew but they are charlatans who higher complete incompetence and I’ve included photos to show the handiwork of people who are untrained.
  Two months into the job they lost their liability insurance. No one ever told me, and I’ve asked five times for the new insurance company they say they have. they could never prove that they still had liability insurance. They were never able to secure a work permit from the town. I’ve uploaded photos of their work and it’s just embarrassing. The day I put in a stop work order one of the employees told me that a woman in Gloversville had put in the stop work order two weeks before because he made the foundation wider than the roofline and destroyed her plumbing connection to the towns water system. Another woman on ******** contacted me because they damaged her daughters car and gave her bogus insurance. they are criminals in multiple ways and dumped illegal Phil that will endanger my family‘s health into an open pit into my yard from some other job site. They left lead ships all over the yard and even though the contract said that they would use ground Klos they did not until I provided the crew with ground cloths begging them to please use it as we drink the water under the ground where all the lead paint was falling. They left construction debris in my yard and never picked it up. They use shingle underlayment and told me it would make a great housewrap. I called the shingle underlayment company and you can call them to the name is printed right there in the photos.   Dear ******,
  Very upsetting that you have painted a picture of dishonestly. We worked on. Your house for 4 months with your promise to pay as you were waiting for your home equity loan. You promised you were waiting on checks and when we look up and verified there wasn’t any loan documents filed you had us stop working. We trusted your word. You continued to allow us to work until we quested payment and told you our attorney said you did not get a home equity loan. I urge any customer reviewing profile to verify that we have a lien on her house and she was very dishonest. We have a lot of text message, police recorded as she refused to allow us to pick up our tools and you refused to return materials you didn’t pay for. Then you involved my husband who was nothing but kind and helpful . You were severed a notice to stop writing bad comments and reviews or you would be help to a financial obligation for any job you reviewed caused an issue. I am perfectly ok if you want to write a review that states the truth but this isn’t and it not fair that people use this against companies. Sadly our work was allowed and good enough until we realized you had no money to pay us !
