I registered my new business a few days ago and received the same letter requesting $87.25. thanks to your reviews and the BBB, I did not send them any money. Thank you all for exposing this fraud.

Horrible. Looked legit. Made it seem necessary and time-sensitive in obtaining LLC. Fell for it.

I am joining the chorus of those who are on record saying tat this business gives every appearence of being illigitamate. > BBB search shows that the mailing address is a pob, despite the letter I received. > the phone # listed on the selfsame letter is always busy. > the letter does say "THIS IS NOT A GOVERNMENT AGENCY" in teeny-tiny letters. so, ... beware

Received a scam request for funds like the other reviewers but realized it didn't seem official and there's a tiny sentence that says " This is not a government agency"

I owned a business for almost forty years. After closing it down, I decided to start a new retirement business. Shortly after forming a LLC for the new business, I received a suspicious letter wanting $87.25 for a "Certificate". Having never needed one in 40 year, I was skeptical. It's a damn shame businesses like this are allowed to prey on the masses.

Got a letter demanding $87 for a "New York Certificate of Status" shortly after setting up my LLC. This is a scam.

Shut this company down! What scares me the most is to see this scam has been going on for at least 3 years! Shut it down!
