VERY SLOW SITE!according to the *** site my return should have been free, however after filling out all the information needed it said my return would be $39.99! Although technically it was overall cheaper than Turbo Tax (which I've used since 1999) I most likely won't use this site again. My time is worth something to me, and I spent at least a total of 85 minutes in either a loading screen or having to go thru the same screens again because I got timed out when I was waiting for my returns to load. Overall I'll try the site again next year (before April 15th), but if it's as slow as it was tonight I won't even bother.ezTaxReturn.com, LLC

Warning DO NOT USE EZTAXRETURN Yes - it may be free, but that is the only good thing about it. I just tried their software because the 'free' service I used last year now wants to charge me $50 for the same tax return forms as the previous year.Here is what happened:-entered all our personal info, income, expenses etc. without any issues -Their 'Federal Bottom Line' page indicated a tax due over $1200 more than what it should have been!- clicked on the 'why' beside that incorrect number and it brought up the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gains worksheet which shows your total tax due on line 25. The number there was correct, but the software puts in a number that was over $1200 more than the number from the worksheet. This was flat out wrong and I used 2 other services to confirm that it was wrong.So, you get to file for free, but this inferior software will cost you hundreds if not thousands in tax due. In my case over $1100 Also, their software did not compute the overage we had through the Healthcare marketplace -guessing this would be a HUGE red flag to set you up for a potential audit.ezTaxReturn.com, LLC

I paid for my filing fees, now I'm paying another filing fee for a cashier's check, I didn't ask for, my State income tax went through and I received my full amount, then I received a letter stating my federal state income tax wouldn't process and more money was taking out by this company for over ****** dollars in more fees for processing, I couldn't believe it, ************ is a scam, don't use them, they play with your money and take out what they want and send you the rest, I need all my money I worked hard for, when you need to speak to someone, the phones don't work, this company is ****, since I been using them over the years, something is always wrong with your money and I never adds up, shut this company down or look into how they operate!ezTaxReturn.com, LLC

Completed my federal with ease. State was a bit different. Site said ***** to file my state. I went ahead and let them charge me for the service. They charged ***** to my debit card. State still has not received my return. I've tried to contact eztax and they refuse to answer. Guess the got the money they dont have to follow through.ezTaxReturn.com, LLC

Contacting ********************* We received an email on Sunday, February 11th at 9:01pm EST and we responded at 9:11pm a few minutes later and explained that you paid for your state return, but you had yet to e-file your return. We next received a voicemail from you with your name and number to contact you without any additional questions on February 15th at 5:30 pm. We responded to you via email at 7:37pm the same day asking how we could assist you. Timing of Filing your State return: Often states update their programs after IRS go live date. The state in question here updated its program after IRS go live on Jan 31st, 2024 this year. We could not, therefore, process your return until that update was implemented. Had we processed your return before the update was implemented, you would likely have to pay an additional $19.99 to file an amended return. We hold your return when state updates programs to prevent you from having to do additional work and pay additional fees. Filing Status: Your KS tax return was filed on February 12th, 2024 and was accepted on February 29th by the state. Filing Fees: We have issued you a 50% off coupon for your DIY filing next year. We have also issued a $5 credit to your credit card. We thank you for your patience and the opportunity to serve you and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. It's listed on the *** as a company that you can free-file with below a certain AGI, and if you are in a qualifying state. However, despite meeting both criteria, they charged me $19.00 to file my federal taxes. This was not advertised or made clear on their site until the last step of filing.
