      Because my 60-foot cottonwood tree grew into a tangle of power lines, there were only 2 companies with utility line clearance certification that could cut it down. The other company quoted a price ridiculously more than Tree Care of New York! Contrary to the notion ‘you get what you pay for,’ the 3-man crew that came (promptly, as scheduled) to my house yesterday far exceeded my expectations in working all day to complete this huge job for me! Heavy mats were laid down mats so their equipment didn’t tear up my lawn. They removed all the wood & cleaned up so well, you’d hardly know they were there except for my happily missing trees!

      We've had the trees around our utility lines trimmed in past years, I believe, by ***** tree service. They were always very careful with our beautiful trees in our front yard and I have always been pleased. This year ******** **** hired Tree Care (probably on the cheap) and they literally cut my trees in half! I went out to ask if they really needed to be cutting so much off and their reply was pretty much, "just doing our job." On top of that we never received notification that they'd be doing this. I'm not sure that they even know what kind of trees they are cutting. We have a small pear tree that we use to feed our family. We prune it ourselves and it would never naturally reach the power lines regardless. I asked them to stop but they proceeded anyway as I stood there in tears. They cut off a whole side of branches filled with growing fruit. I called the company after they completely demolished my trees and the man I spoke to said that if I asked them to stop cutting they should have stopped but they did not. Another of the trees was a small maple that we knew was going to be a problem down the road so we had planned to have it relocated in the summer. If we had known these jerks would be coming we would have planned on it sooner. We probably will not be doing that now because they chopped the entire top off the tree. Is it even healthy to just lop off 30% of a tree? Honestly, I am beside myself. What this company did is astounding. I really can't believe they have such little regard for these trees and for the property owner. They should change their company name. The only thing they care about is the money they're getting from the utilities for this job. They don't care at all about the health of the trees or what the property owner thinks since it's the utilities paying them. In end, it's the property owner who is the one who ends up having to live with this mess... not the utilities... not the tree company.

      Highly disrespectful employees. Employees did not represent themselves truthfully. Employee would not own his poor behavior. Employees had no identification on them whatsoever. Would not explain their actions. Employees proceeded with actions that would place a developmentally disabled individual in physical peril. Would not provide contact name(s) to verify identity and purpose. Business seems to be quite unprofessional. I get the impression that this firm is likely to dodge taking responsibility for poor service.
