I went to the imaging center for preventative mammogram screening. That was a referral prescription provided by my general physician. Upon completion of service, I was advised that I had no findings and could resume with my day. I followed up with my primary Physician who had reviewed that there were no findings from the mammogram screening. The billing submitted to my health insurance was for 'diagnostic' screening under a different billing code than matching my prescription. I am mainly concerned that this appears to be a payment fraud scam/attempt of fraud from the billing code team. I asked the imaging center's billing agent to make the correction to billing with insurance to match the prescription as I had no additional diagnostic service. The agent refused and only advised me to refer to my employer to change my insurance carrier. I asked for the imaging doctor's letter and signature of the language supporting why this would not count as a preventative screening with diagnosis in exchange for payment. The billing agent said she would not undertake that action and again rebuffed me to change my insurance. I proposed other steps to resolve and none were accepted. Can you advise - how is it possible that the imaging center can change the script without my consent, advising in writing of the change towards billing, and make a diagnosis without informing me that would impact me financially, and mentally in stress? a copy of my script and bill are available upon request from BBB.
      I would like the following:
      1. billing adjusment to insurance
      2. explanation of charges in full detail of each step of the mammogram process and apology letter for my suffrage in chasing this matter and distress
      3. removal of any collections actions applied
      4. correction to credit report

      Hello,

I'd like to resolve this complaint however, there is not sufficient identification to review this case. I have a first and last name but I need to correlate the patient's identity with a date of birth. Would you please include that information, specifically the HIPAA release needs to provide this.

      Thank you.

      Hi *****,

I have included the report from your screening mammogram. The information regarding the physicians recommendation for additional images can be found in the section "Recommendation".

      I hope this helps.

At the beginning of February I receieved an itemized bill for the first time for services rendered. Upon looking over the bill they added all monies due from December 2021 to April 2023. These are the dates I had services done 12/2021, 2/2022, 4/2022, 10/2022, and 4/2023. The bill total $330.38. I called them to dispute paying bills that are more then 3 years old. They did not seem to care. When you look at the bill there is no "past due balance" which means the 2024 bill is the first one that they sent out. I have no problem paying the balance due for 2023 but have an issue to pay something from 3 years ago since they did not send me anything. I have attached the said bill.

Hello,After examining ******* *******'s account, it appears that the balances for services rendered in December 2021, February 2022, April 2022, October 2022, and April 2023 were mistakenly not sent out. It wasn't until a denial was reviewed on the account that it was discovered the statement had never been provided. The balances for services in 2021 and 2022 should have been adjusted off due to the age of the services. Regrettably, the statement was erroneously mailed to the patient, and when Mr. ******* contacted our office, he was not informed of this oversight. The balances from 2021 to 2022 have been adjusted off, resulting in a new balance due of $35.17 for the patient. An updated statement is enclosed and will be sent to the Mr. *******.Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.Sincerely,Amber D*******
