I spoke with someone at the office after they called me and told me I had to call in every month to pay and I thought your payment automatically came off. My payment was due on the 18th every month. I missed April and told them I’d call back, truly forgot to call back and my account was sent to collections not even 30 days past due. Never heard of that from any company. Prior to this, my payments were made and I kept up with plans. This was handled entirely incorrectly after I have been with this office for years.

Hello ******, I have reviewed your account and it appears that the balance on your account goes back to November 2024. Our office policy is that payment is due at the time of service, as a courtesy if a patient does not have full amount or is unable to pay at time of service we will not turn them away, but we do expect payment within 30 days of the service. It appears your account was more than 120 days past due and the staff tried to work with you to arrange for you to make monthly payments to avoid termination from practice and collection procedures. This arrangement was made with you in March, that you would make monthly payments by the 18th of each month to avoid collection procedures, as of May 7th there had been no payments received at which time my staff made a courtesy call to try and assist you to avoid your account going to collections. You were unable to make payment at that time and told staff you would call office to make payment. The office held your account for an additional week without receiving any payment at which time they moved forward with collection procedures as per the agreement you signed with our office.  Our office did send monthly statements as a reminder that your payment was due. I feel we went above and beyond to assist you to avoid collections procedures by providing payment plan on past due balance, sending monthly statement, and taking the time to reach out via phone to try to collect payment. Unfortunately I do not have enough staff to be able to call patients repeatedly to remind of payments being due.

As stated, any plans I’ve had I have paid and made payments. I was waiting for my card to reload which I had previously discussed with someone and when I spoke with someone more recently - I informed I would call back. I have full understand that you do not have time to contact more than once just as well as I do not always remember to call back, I was driving and working and could not pay at the time.
I still stand by sending my account to collections when my payment was not even 30 days late on the plan was not the best way to handle it. I also did admit fault in not contacting anyone immediately.
Ethically, from a psychological standpoint - sending me to collections and leaving me without a doctor while I am on a controlled substance was wrong.
Typically plans that are 30 days past due would make sense but I was not 30 days past due before my account was sent to collections and was not notified before it was sent to be given a chance so it still doesn’t sit right with me. I have never heard of a process like that.

******, As a show of good faith I am willing to pull your account from collections, but you will need to pay the balance in full by June 5th 2025. Please note we are unable to continue with payment plan previously agreed upon, due to delinquent payments on account. If account is not satisfied in full by June 5th, 2025 it will be sent to collections and your account will be closed with our office until full payment is received by collector. Please call our office at ###-###-####

      Kind regards,

      Jennifer

I called the office in crisis and the receptionist was no help. She did in fact tell me that my doctor couldn't help me and that I had to go to the hospital. She out right refused to leave my provider a message. Why should I come back if they can't help and the receptionist gets to decide who can and can't help me. Cancelled all future appointments

*******, I am reaching out to try and address your concern. It appears the staff here were trying to assist you but your provider is out of the office and unable to see you for a visit today. They reached out to the covering provider. if a patient calls our office in crisis or exhibits signs of self harm our staff are directed to have them go to the nearest hospital or call crisis services. I do see that the covering provider has reached out to you and I believe your concerns have been addressed. If you still have concerns you may feel free to contact me directly.

When I called to cancel an appointment I was told I was 40 min past the 24hr cancellation deadline and therefore had to pay a $70 penalty to reschedule. As a retired physician I have never ever even heard of a practice that was this inconsiderate. It is obvious that patients are not their primary priority.

I’d love to take away stars from this place ?? this practice is a joke that 100% only wants your money and it’s painfully obvious. If you call because your family wakes up sick they don’t care, they’d rather charge you $150 or just have you go in throwing up every where I guess. The office manager is a complete waste of space, don’t even waster your breath on her. The owner of the practice doesn’t care about anything either. My provider, Jeanne S************* could not care less than she did about anything going on. She would spend our sessions staring at her computer and telling me about her crappy family, not very beneficial to a depressed patient. They let me go from the practice after I called them out on their **** ????

I have been a patient of Dr. A*****'s for almost 20 years. I have never had a complaint about any staff, and certainly not the physician. If I had been unhappy, I would not have stayed. I was stunned that the only reviews were complainers about insurance or money.
I'm in the health care industry. You can't keep your doors open or your staff paid, if you can not collect for your services.
