    Hired Stoney Brook LLC (Sherif Mohamed) on July 16, 2023 to do renovations on a property we recently purchased located at *** **** ***** ****** ****** ** *****. Between 7/16/23 & 7/18/23 we gave Mr. Mohamed $26,000 as a deposit to begin work. Total initial quote was for $73,250. Renovations were to include, renovate existing bathroom, tear down existing porch and build a new porch, add a new extension for a kitchen, add a new bathroom, relocating basement access and install new access door (bilco), exterior siding for new space and replacing part of septic drain pipe . The contract included concrete foundation, framing, roofing, insulation including spray foam under the new space, electrical wiring including light fixtures, plumbing for kitchen and bathroom including heating, tiling kitchen & bathroom as well relocating washer/dryer to main level and installing all new appliances. By end of July 2023 Mr. Mohamed had finished the first bathroom renovations and tore down the porch but did not return until end of October to begin the rest. We added additional work such as exterior siding for the entire house (11/23) and to install sheetrock in interior spaces. He quoted us $13,300 for siding in November and we gave him $7,200 deposit at that time. On 2/14/24 Mr. Mohamed abandoned the job leaving the following work unfinished: Exterior siding incomplete & no siding material delivered (except for one side of the house which was installed poorly), a leaking roof into porch and interior space (Den) due to damaged and poorly installed roof, no basement access door, porch poorly installed and unfinished, no kitchen plumbing (sink/dishwasher) and no heating in new bathroom/kitchen, part of the electrical wiring was unfinished (range, kick heaters, cabinet lighting) no spray foam insulation, appliances not installed, pocket door not installed, sheet rock installed poorly. Cost to complete unfinished work is approximately $20,000. We are requesting a refund.
