I received a notice that I have a collection from SUNRISECRED on my credit report. It says it was opened on 12/26/2023 for ****** with account number starting in ******** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the **** and FDCPA.I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.I demand these companies to delete these accounts from all 3 credit reporting agencies and compensate me for the violations or I will have no choice but to forward this to my litigation attorney.Initial Complaint

I have disputed a account on my profile ********************** and the account has been removed by the company as of today but also the company has reported today a late payment on my credit profile dropping my credit score tremendously with a late payment! I would like that late payment removed and my credit updated immediately please! Before I closed optimum internet account, I made a full payment and their representative confirmed that I made a full payment and doesn't have any balance.One day, Sunrise credit called me and said I have a balance for a month which I paid. So, I asked them to send me billing history for a year, they just sent me a last statement which I paid.They were not willing to listen to me, and just keep asking payment.Initial Complaint

I"m not sure about much except that I moved out of ** in 2014. A month ago, I received notification I was in collections for an ******* account at my previous address in NY state under my maiden name (which changed in 2017 because I have lived in Fl now for 8 years) I know nothing about this account that is in collections except that the new tenant never switched service over . I contacted the new tenant and they have paid the ****. Allegedly, they have also contact both ******* and sunrise and explained it was her ****. They saw fit to take her money but do not see fit to change this collections notice to her name. I emailed them contesting the collection, as their collections notice stated , 4x before they answered me. They only responded because I told them I was contacting the BBB. They will not accept notarized letters from the new tenant and they no longer care because she paid it. I care because it remains under my name. THey keep saying to contact *******. I worked in payables and its common knowledge that a business that has given you to collections can not (will not) work with you. They are giving me the plebian run around with no regard to my credit score. This isn't how you treat people who are helpless. This is big business being bad.Customer Answer
