I engaged with GCU Environmental for lead abatement due to lead identified in my home. Specifically the following areas:Dining Room wall doorway casing with Exterior Entry Door Casing Exterior Entry Door Outer Jamb Exterior Entry Door Header Jamb Kitchen Back Entry Door Inner and Outer Jamb Kitchen Back Entry Door Stop and Header Jamb As per the ********************************** Inspector, this contractor did not do as instructed, which was a wet scrape to remove the lead on the exterior door casing. Even after I instructed him that is what I believed the notice suggested. He claimed he has been doing this for years and didn't believe that was the case. So he left it as is. And instead, his team hastily tore out the door frames never touching the outer door ******. They damaged my walls and refrigerator encasement, nails were left in the ceiling, paint splatter was in the areas where they worked, I found gaps in between the door frame and floor, etc. Overall, the work completed is mediocre at best, especially for the $5,500 price tag. He and his team unnecessarily replaced two perfectly good doors when they didn't need to be replaced. The installation is subpar. Eventually, I will have to pay someone else to do it over. The following things were identified once the work was completed. I had to contact the owner several times to get these things resolved. The replaced front door didn't have a peephole like the one that was removed. They neglected to put back the alarm sensors, doorstop, and doorbell, and remove the staples in the crown molding and in the ceiling. Which was recently done. There were areas in the dining room entry door where nails are bulging and would be a safety hazard for my toddler. It didn't look smooth and clean; it looked messy. There is damage to the wall where the fridge and backdoor are; they patched it with putty and it looks terrible.
