1 starThe age of our beech tree, according to the SAVATREE Certified Arborist, Mr. ****** **********, is approximately 200 years, during his initial visit. However, after my wife and I researched Beech Leaf Disease, we found that the likelihood of any treatment for Leaf Disease is not expected to yield favorable results because there is NO CURE, which we were not made aware of by Mr. ********** before agreeing to services rendered. Had we been informed that there is no cure, we certainly would not have spent approximately $5,880.00.Unbeknownst to us, the recommended option of using and paying (twice) for the Systemic Soil Treatments, ArborHealth Fertilization treatments, bark disease treatments, and borer treatments and then paying $3,890.00 for the pruning of the Beech Tree was not specific to the actual leaf disease that is killing our tree, which is the reason we called SAVATREE to start with. After speaking with a beech tree expert in *************, my wife and I were informed that SAVATREEs ArborHealth Fertilization Treatment, Systemic Soil Treatment, etc., are not used to target the nematodes that is the root cause of Beech Leaf Disease. We are displeased with the fact that the information was not presented to us during the initial evaluation by SAVATREE after spending approximately $5,880.00. When my wife and I brought the information collected from the expert in ************* to the attention of SAVATREE's Certified Arborist, Mr. ****** **********, he knew about there being NO CURE and the fact that all of his recommended treatments were not specifically designed to assist with the leaf disease?! With that being said, we terminated all services with SAVATREE, and we regret allowing ourselves to be taken advantage of, and we will be filing a complaint with the BBB.Review fromAmanda M

This company is awful!!! Go for a small local company, not this awful corporate company. They damaged my decking by dragging tree limbs, then they made it filthy after I had just powerwashed my property. They could have used a different access point but they were too lazy to walk an additional two feet. After stringing me along for months with their third party obnoxious corporate company who manages their claims, they decided to deny taking responsibility. We have some amazing small tree service companies in ******, this is not one of them. Oh, and this was after a tree fell on my house and they were the emergency company used by ****** and simply too lazy to not damage property further for customers. This company is fraudulent and cannot be trusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SavATree, LLC

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and giving us the opportunity to address it. As requested, we filed a claim with our insurance provider, who then performed a complete investigation. Their assessment concluded that the nature of the damage a 6-inch superficial scratch and the requested repair amount of $33,000 did not align with several key factors. These included the over 30-day delay in notifying us, the activity of multiple contractors on your property during that period, and the existing age of the deck. Given the presence of so many other contractors, it's impossible for the insurance to determine who might have caused the scratch, or even if it pre-existed our work. We strive for fair and objective resolutions in all our interactions.Review fromMichelle C

Like several below complaints I did not intend to sign up for a perpetual contract. I have notified the company via several emails that I do not want an annual contract. Because they show up without a lot of notice I have to be diligent that they don't come and try to perform unwanted services.SavATree, LLC

1 starI wish I could leave zero stars. I wasn't given any notice that SavATree would be coming to do the tree trimming, they just showed up on 12/23. I have footage on my Ring camera showing they were only here working for 20 minutes, then Christmas Day I get a bill for $690, that is over $2,000 an hour. Online it says the average cost of tree trimming should be between $25 & $50 an hour, so $2,000 is ridiculous, and unfair to consumers. It also is poor customer service for no notice or coordination, given holiday spending of most families this time of year, then to get a large, and unexpected bill on Christmas Day. I will never use SavATree services again, and I want to let everyone I know my concerns of SavATree's inflated hourly rates, unless you don't mind paying $2,000 an hour for tree trimming service.Review fromTami D

BEWARE the "continuing service" clause. The salesman never mentioned that the scale-insect treatments to which I agreed would extend in perpetuity. He said THREE treatments for the shrubs; the contract said THREE treatments for the shrubs; and the screen I signed was enlarged to a degree that the clause was not apparent. But guess what? They showed up again today, and I now realize my error. BEWARE also the poor quality. The original job I had requested -- thinning of tree limbs from a tree overhanging my house -- was a disappointment. Some dead limbs were left, with the workers instead over-trimming the crepe myrtles out front. So buyer beware. As for the shrubs, two of them died anyway.SavATree, LLC

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the miscommunication regarding the ongoing treatments. Unfortunately, the arborist, who is no longer with our company, did not set clear expectations about the continuous services, which our clients are able to cancel or change at any time. We understand this caused confusion, and we regret that this was not properly explained. Please know that we are committed to improving communication with our customers to ensure clear understanding moving forward.Review frombettejean n

1 starSavaTree was recommended by my home insurance agent. The local office is located at ************************************************. It has a finance office at ****************************************************. I should have checked BBB before getting committed. They are rated as F with **** out of 5.0.My complaint relates to charges of $581 for the Service called ***************** III. I did agree to the estimate but did not ask for clarification. An arborist came to our house and reviewed our yard. We discussed trimming my two Birch trees back so they would not overhang and need my pruning the droopy limbs at least twice per growing season. Four or five men, with a large truck with a lift basket which they did not need nor use, were here for 2-3 hours playing on their cell phones. They asked me what should they do! I said t "Talk to your supervisor, not me." They cut off the lower limbs that I had marked with tape. *****, the supervisor, showed up around the 3 hour ***** ***** showed them how to cut a few branches. After 15 minutes they all left! This service was not worth the charges. I offered to pay $100, they agreed to drop the charge to $250.Review fromChris H

2 stars2 stars - *************** was 5 stars, subsequent service was zero stars and you cannot assign 2.5 stars.I requested a one-time service from SavATree in November 2022 that was performed to the highest of standards. The work authorization included the specific language. Included in this program is 1 service for a total of $311.00. The work authorization document boiler plate language includes the following Ever-Green ******* To help maintain a vibrant and healthy landscape, your program is considered CONTINUOS. This means that your program will remain in our calendar and automatically renew each year, ensuring ongoing professional care for your property. You can, of course, CANCEL AT ANY TIME BY contacting us.On the 5th January 2023 SavATree contacted me asking if I would like to perform the same service in 2023 and requested If you would like to approve the renewal, please respond to this email I never responded because I didnt want to renew the service as I had found out all I needed. On 7th December 2023 I received an invoice for service performed and this remains unpaid and is being disputed. A few points:(a) There was never an approval granted for the renewal for the service (b) There was no notification of a planned service call where an intervention could have been performed to avoid this dispute (I could have moved to a different house or state!)(c) There was no notification per ***** Law (HB ****) regarding the notifications a service provider must perform for annual contract renewals. This law requires notification between 90 and 15 days before the anniversary to confirm the renewal and that the details of how a service can be cancelled be provided to the customer.Beware of these questionable practices.Review fromCatherine C

1 starWe had contacted SavATree for a quote to remove a few dead trees and trim back branches that hang over our driveway. We received a favorable quote from the arborist and were ready to move forward with their services. As is standard practice before moving forward with the contract we asked for proof of insurance and license. The company refused to provide the requested information without a signed contract and a 50% deposit. Being put off by this response, we decided not to move forward with service.
