    Misinformed me about a rebate. Then since I questioned him he is unresponsive and has not submitted my rebate. Myself not my HVAC contractor has heard back from him. The payment was not made to ***** company. He was the company that was brought in to put my rebate through with PSEG. The amount was the cost of the job. ***** advised a $5000 Rebate was available If I had the contractor install a few more items. So I paid more to install the additional items. ***** then assured me it would be -$5000 Rebate. Then he got back To me and said I needed to install a different brand to get the $5000 rebate. That I only qualified for $3700. I was Disappointed and he knew that. Then he became unresponsive and as far as I know he has not put through the rebate that I feel he just made up. All I am Asking for is a response and for him to do what he said he would. I would Have never spent the extra money to have the extra items installed if he was not Going to come Through. He mislead me and will not respond.

    *** ******** was made aware of the rebate requirements several times.

    ******************** was told he does not qualify for the rebate several times.

    Although we clearly communicated to him that he does not qualify for the rebate, on his own accord, he chose to disregard our communications.

    Instead of accepting that he does not qualify, he is choosing to make false claims to the BBB in an effort to pressure us into unethical business practices.

    We have been in business for 6 years & have never had a complaint - please remove this unsubstantiated complaint from our record.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    I will send all the messages stating ***** was working on a rebate. he never told me I did not qualify. This is the first I am hearing about this.  He even sent me paperwork after the first half of the job was completed showing a minimal rebate of $250.  We then spoke and he told me if I had 2 more units installed it would cover the whole home and the rebate would be significant.  He actually said the rebate would be $5000.  So I went along and bought all the equipment which cost $5000 and I had it installed for about $5000 and then ***** told me he would put the paperwork through.  Once I kept calling him about it he finally told me he would still be able to get me a rebate but it would not be $5000.  That it would be $3700 due to the brand I had installed. If I would have installed gree instead of daikon I would have gotten the full $5000.  I was never told any of this ahead of time. I was disappointed and told him that I purposely had installed the balance of the units from his information he gave me which were daikon from the first phase and daikon in the second phase. Which he knew about from the start.  I ended the call with him and said it is what it is but I was obviously unhappy due to the $1300 difference. I told him I felt mislead and he seemed annoyed about that. I then kept following up with ***** and he became unresponsive after he stated he was working on putting the paperwork through.  It never happened.
