    I had a few prior garage door estimates, called Brentwood to get an estimate. What they quoted over the phone was competitive so i scheduled on-site appointment.The owner comes and immediately says i need a special track at additional cost of course $275 - none of the others mentioned anything or any upcharge for a special track. so i questioned it saying something like your online quote was competitive but this upcharge for special track none of the other companies mentioned in their quotes. So the guy gets all insulted and ***** and says good day sir i dont need to be accused of ripping anyone off And i say wait a minute im just comparing apples to apples - i cant ask about additional charges? i calm him down by saying dont you want to know what your competitors are doing? Im in business and i sure do.i actually let him up sell me to an insulated door and he writes a total $ amount on the back of his business card and i get a formal quote from his office shortly after - with a charge for track - evidently standard track not special track.Brentwood door wants 50% deposit to order. Doors willbe in in week or 2 if available locally or 4-6 weeks if ordered.Install date gets moved 2x. I move garage stuff away from doors. Told 2 doors install takes all day, they start 8am. Install date finally arrives; its 8:45 no one here. i call office am told i should have called that morning (was only 8:45am right then!) to find out when they are coming. Finally 1 guy shows up at 9:30. Their employee walks in says this job requires special track and i dont have it with meSo after multiple calls back and forth they need to reschedule killing my whole day.Two days later owner who came to quote job calls and says im returning your deposit (that he cashed by the way 2 weeks prior). He says somehow you (i) snuck this job in (huh?!) and it needs special track and it will be $$$ additional and i didnt want this job to begin with huh?!) AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
