I received 2 contracts from Brian Lloyd, Lloyd's Contracting. They are for 2 properties that are located next to each other. One contract was to remove siding from house and garage, install new siding, remove deck and build new deck in the Spring of 2023. The siding removal started January 27 or 28, 2023. After numerous delays, all work ceased on July 24, 2023. Completed work includes siding removal, soffit installation, most light installation, new house wrap and trim installation. Lloyd's Contracting never delivered the siding material to my property or installed siding on my house. I have paid $55,000 to date. Using quotes from other contractors to complete the work, my estimated damages are $40,000. The 2nd contract was to remove and rebuild 2 sets of steps from the house, caulk the existing siding and grade the front lawn around the rebuilt steps. He caulked the existing siding. He removed the steps and rebuilt 2 new sets of steps that are not to code and need to be removed. He did not grade the front lawn around the front steps, I had my landscaper do it. I had to remove him from my property in February 2024. I have subsequently hired a new contactor to finish the uncompleted work and this Spring, I hope to rectify the steps that are not to code. I paid the 2nd contract in full as when those steps were completed, the siding from my other house had already been removed and I was trying to maintain a good relationship in order to make sure he completed the other job. I have a New York State Police Report (Incident # ********). In that report "Llyod advised ... [he] understands that ***** is owed a refunded but advised me that it needed to go through civil before he returns anything." My lawyer has advised me that a lawsuit will cost me at least an additional $35,000. I have since found other victims. I have documents and pictures to support my statements above.
