    On Jul 11, 2024, I brought my vehicle to this shop to swap an engine I purchased. After they swapped the engine, the mechanic, *** ********* stated that the engine I purchased did not have compression. I had to contact the business I purchased the engine from and they would get back to me. After a couple of weeks, the business instructed me to return the purchased engine. I asked the mechanic, *** ********* at this shop to swap back the engines, however he wasn't able to do this stating that he did not have the personnel to complete the task. After several weeks, I had to find a different mechanic to check the engine, and had my vehicle towed to a different shop. The original engine remained at *** ******** shop. After another few weeks, I was told that my original engine was thrown out to recycle/trash and I was not informed even though they have my contact information, without my permission. The cost of that engine is approximately $6,000. I am looking to get compensated for my original engine that I no longer have because they got rid of it.

    I HAVE RECEIVED THIS COMPLAINT, I HAVE REVIEWED IT AND SPOKE TO THE TECHNICIAN , ******* EXPLAINS THAT WHEN THE CLIENT PICKED UP HIS VEHICLE HE WAS TOLD AT THAT MOMENT TO TAKE THE LOCKED ENGINE, HE SAID THAT HE WILL RETURN WITHIN A WEEK, HE WAS INFORMED AT THAT MOMMENT  THAT HE NEEDED TO PICK IT UP ASAP BECUASE WE DONT HAVE SPACE FOR STORAGE AND THE CUSTOMER AGREED TO RETURN IN A WEEK. SEVERAL WEEKS PASSED BY, CUSTOMER WAS CONTACTED AND HE STOPPED BY THE SHOP AND ASKED TO GIVE HIM ANOTHER WEEK AND WE DID. AGAIN, SEVERAL WEEKS PASSED BY AN NOTHING, WE TRIED TO REACH OUT TO HIM AND NO RESPONSE. THIS ENGINE WAS SITTING AROUND FOR 2 MONTHS ALREADY AND OUR SPACE IS VERY LIMMETED AND WE ARE NOT STORAGE, WE KEEP OUR SHOP BY THE *** RULES AND WE ARE SUPPOSED TO RECICLE METALS IF NOT WE GET SUMMONED. WE ASSUMED THE CLIENT WAS NOT GOING TO RETURN SINCE HE KEPT ASKING FOR A WEEK AND NEVER COMING BACK. WE DID WHAT WE NEEDED TO DO FOR THE BEST INTEREST OF OUR BUSSINESS. WE DO NOT BELEIVE THE CLIENT SHOULD RECEIVED ANY REFUND FOR AN ENGINE THAT WAS LOCKED AND THAT IS NOT WORTH THE AMOUNT HE IS ASKING. HE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HIS ENGINE THE SAME DAY HE PICKED UP HIS CAR ON THE *** TRUCK. HE LEFT THE ENGINE ABANDONED.
