    I have a Santa Fe dehumidifier that is not working. I purchased a new leaf contract insurance for ****** in the event that the Santa Fe does not work. It covers Maintenance for five years since the purchase of the unit. New leaf sent Shivani refrigeration and air-conditioning to My Home to repair the machine. Two technicians came in and they spoke to each other saying that they had never seen a Santa Fe dehumidifier and they had no idea how to take care of it. They told me that they would document the report that I refused to send, the machine with them to repair. I told them please dont do that. Please take the machine and they said no no please we will document that the machine does not work that it is leaking Freon and that you refused to send it. I contacted New to let them know that this is the situation. I emailed them. I spoke to them multiple times on the phone , Shivani refrigeration and air conditioning got paid for their services. They lied and said that the machine was covered in mold. They stated that I did not maintain the machine and they said that I refuse to send the machine with them. I contacted Shivani air-conditioning and they told me that , theres no more they can do, they are refusing to send the maintenance workers back, they are refusing to take my unit to repair, and that they are refusing to amend their report. New leaf is refusing to send me another repair person as they already paid Shivani refrigeration and air conditioning , and because of their report that states that I did not maintain the dehumidifier appropriately, the contract is nullified. I am left with a broken dehumidifier unit, and they notified contract because of the lies that Shivani refrigeration and air-conditioning documented in their report.

    We have noted the consumer's complaint and wishes to state that the mechanic ******** ******** , a certified mechanic, went on the service call with a helper so that if the unit needs to come in for repair they will be able to remove same.The unit was purchased on October 20, 2021 and it was under the extended contract with ********. Our mechanic checked the unit in question and found that the compressor was working but it was not sending out any warm air. Also, there was mold in the unit and the customer was advised to have the unit cleaned because of the mold. She was also told that re charging of the unit has to be done in our shop. Cleaning of the unit is not covered and she was told to clean it or pay to clean same.

    The customer refused to send the unit to the shop and said she had to speak to the warranty company. a few days later we were called to pick the unit up for repair and she was told that she will have to pay for the trip and she refused.
