    On Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, i sent an email to the vendor requesting a telephone conversation regarding the inspection test report (ELV3) filed with the ********** of ********** That report filed reflects 6 defects in the elevator system and components located at ********************************************************************************. In reviewing the defects noted in the report, it is unclear why any defect would be found in the elevator system and components at our property. The defects noted (by their very nature) did not first appear on the inspection date but rather must have been existing prior to the inspection date.***************************** LP began his contractual relationship with BP Elevator Company in October 2018. For the past 3 years, we have maintained a monthly maintenance agreement with BP Elevator Company. The essence of that monthly maintenance agreement is to ensure that the elevator system and components at ************************************** are operating in a safe and efficient manner, free of any defects. During the course of the past 3 years, ************* LP Management has paid monthly management maintenance fees, as well as, the cost for several repairs to the elevator system and components: all designed to insure that the elevator components are operating in a safe and efficient manner free of any defects. Repairs performed were based on the recommendations received from BP Elevator Company, and in all instances, those repairs were approved and paid for with the understanding that those repairs would continue to ensure that the elevator system and components are operating in a safe and efficient manner free of any defects.Inasmuch as the defects identified in the inspection test report existed before the date of inspection, I would have presumed that BP Elevator Company would have informed ***************** LP of the identified defect and proposed repairs to cure that defect.     First and foremost, we would like to know that we value and appreciate your business. We understand it can be frustrating when you receive an elevator violation. However, we conducted some research and came to discover we did make **** ***** ** ** ********** aware of all of these conditions previous to the inspection date you referenced. In fact, we sent proposals to correct these very same conditions following the Category 1 Inspections in 2019, 2020 and 2021. In addition to these proposals, we sent numerous others making management aware of conditions we suggested be remedied. All of these proposals remain unaddressed to this day. B P Elevator *** cannot be held responsible to correct conditions if we have not been authorized to do so by approving said proposals. We encourage you to contact our office directly with any issues you may have and will be happy to work with you to resolve them.
