    I decided to book this space for my Babyshower that took place February 19, 2023. I was told with food, 4 staff, clean up/set up and decoration the cost would be $6000 since the event was on a Sunday. It sounded reasonable so I sent my deposit via Zelle in November 2022. Things started getting unprofessional when I asked for the contract in writing for the entire month of December 2022. I was constant receiving excuses from the owners partner about them not being available etc. when asking if my event was still secure, I was told not to worry about the contract. Me being pregnant I figured I have proof of payment so I should be fine. Everything was paid in full including $200 for a **. The week of the event I reached out on a Tuesday (2/14/2023) to find out the time on Thursday (2/16/2023) when I could drop off beverages. I received no response from the partner for over 24 hours, so I reached out to the owner who said to come in between 6-8pm on Thursday. I have my car packed on Thursday and tell both I am on the way to the venue at 7pm. I get a voice note being told that they arent there (one was in the hair salon and the other was in **). Eventually they sent someone to open up the door and I left the beverages. Day of the event which started at 6pm, at 6:30pm they were behind schedule. Vending machine and scooter visible to the public, ** cancelled and I was not informed until about 9pm. The partner of the owner served herself food first and turned on a hookah. There was no apology. I was told I would get $200 back for the ** that did not attend. It has been 5 days and the owner has not sent me the money. We attempted a peaceful conversation regarding compensation and he was rude and dismissive and attempted to force me to meet in person which I refused.
