On 4/12/24 around 3pm I went in for an eye exam that is needed for my *** renewal. I stated to them that I will need the providers license number for my renewal which is given after the eye exam. They stated the eye exam is covered by my license but I will have to pay $35 for the **** I stated why do I need to pay? If my insurance is covering for the eye exam. I am filling out the renewal on my own but the doctors license and name is required they stated that I am paying them for the *** again. And told me I have to pay $35 plus an extra $2 for paying with card of a total $37.00. I stated again why do I need to pay, she repeats the same thing and states that they are sending it on my behalf. After I paid she gave me the paper with the providers name and license and states that I will have to use this paper to fill out my drivers license renewal. I stated why did I pay if I am filling it on my own? What is being sent out on your end? There is no need for me to pay if my insurance is paying for my eye exam. Where is my eye exam results? She then states the same thing again and hands me my eye exam results. When I went home, I noticed that I had to fill in the eye exam information to renew my license and paid $80 for renewal. On my eye exam results paper work, the providers name and license number is stated. I called them back and asked why I had to pay extra if my insurance covers an eye exam which comes with the providers name and license number. They stated the same thing and said I will not be getting a refund. And that I will have to speak to the boss. She stated they pay the *** off my payment of $35.00 and she stated this was their policy. I believe I was scammed and paid an extra $37 for the providers name and license number to complete my drivers license renewal. My insurance covers for this exam and this information is supposed to be provided with the exam. Instead I had to pay for this information and was not given my eye exam results until after I ask.
