I ordered 6 windows, 3 in last October & 3 in this April. I paid half in cash and rest by **** card. The owner charged me extra 3% for payment processing. Second time the total was $743.08. I deposited $300 by cash & $507.87 by **** which I was supposed to pay $443.08. This way the business is running and customers are being charged. Is it legal in **? Basically the owner encouraging customers to pay in cash so that they may escape taxes!!

      Business Response

      Date: 06/11/2024

      Good Morning ************************* or officers,

I'm sorry for the late response because recently my mom pasted away, and I have been busy taking care many things and didn't have chance to respond immediately.

As sole owner of this business, a ******* woman, I always run this business according to government's law and regulations.

Due to the impact of pandemic, the cost of business has been increased over 25% and it's very hard for small business like us. Our credit card fee has been increased a lot, seeing many business like us charging credit card fee by percentage, we learnt from them as well. The main reason for this is to reduce our cost.

We suggest customers to pay cash or check instead of credit card, is to help them avoid the credit card fee, is not to avoid tax.

We stopped charging customer credit card fees as soon as we got the letter from you. We are not clear about the regulation on this matter, how should we charge the fee properly? Could you please provide some suggestions to us?

We are very sorry for how our customer feels on this matter and would like to settle the complain with him by refund the credit card fee to him, and we wish to do business with him in the future.

Thank you for your concern and help on this matter.

      Have a blessed day!

      sincerely yours,

      ***************
