From mid November of this year I have been working with ******* to purchase a vehicle from his lot.I eventually settled on the 2015 ***** RX350. There were many issues with the process but the one I am focused on today is about the car warranty. When we discussed it, ******* specifically told me that the warranty would cover all of the repairs on the vehicle after a 30 day period. On Thursday 12/12/24 I received a call from another warranty company stating they work with customers to offer preferred warranties on their vehicles. I told them I just purchased one offered by the Car Club Auction and they stated, more than likely it only covers the powertrain/engine. I got off the phone and looked at the policy and sure enough, they were correct. So when I reached out to ********************, they confirmed that it was true. I told them I wanted to cancel it because I was told the warranty would cover everything on the vehicle. They told me I could not cancel unless the car is totaled or repossessed. I was not aware that there was a no cancellation clause in the contract. ******* conveniently didn't mention that to me and that in itself is fause adverstisement. When I tried to push *** to do something about it, they just said you have to talk to the Dealer. Of course now that he has been paid and moving on the next unsuspecting victim, he is not answering my calls or text messages. I would not be surprised if both GWC Warranty and Car Club Auction are in on the scam to misrepresent what is being sold to put money in their pockets. I've had car warranties in the past and I find it strange that this one cannot be cancelled at any time. I would have not signed on for a warranty I could not cancel. I want it to be known the unscrupulous practices offered by this company.
