On June 13th Bernard Shipping picked up three barrels from my apartment to be delivered to the receivers door in ********************).They promised a delivery of 2-3 weeks and I paid $660.00 for the service. Delivery to the wharf in ******* was late. It took days for me to get information from Bernard Shipping regarding which broker is supposed to do the delivery in *******. I finally got the information and gave it to the receiver in ******* who contacted the broker on 7/12/23. They told her that the shipping container would be unloaded by Friday 7/14/23 and would be delivered the following week.On 7/18/23 the receiver called the broker who delayed the process again. They told her the barrels would be taken off the shipping container by 7/21/23: and delivered the following week, making the total delivery process,6 weeks. Bernard Shipping is clearly in breach of our agreement. Not only that, they're trying to deflect the responsibility onto a company that they chose to deliver in *******, as if that company is not considered part of their business.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    [Your Answer Here]

Not only did it take over 6 weeks to deliver the barrels, over $450.00 worth of food and supplies were stolen from the barrels.

I've attempted to communicate with BERNARD'S SHIPPING, and the **************** in *******, and they both are no longer answering my emails or telephone calls.  I have contacted The *********************** and have filed a lawsuit through *** Civil Court.

When I initially filed this case the barrels had not been delivered yet.  When they were delivered I instructed the recipient to take photos before opening the barrels and of the inside of the barrels before any of the contents were removed.  It was then that I found out that the delivery company had brazenly stolen from the barrels.

Now I want a full refund of my shipping fee and $450.00 to cover some of the cost of the items that were stolen.

    See attached photos.
