I hired this company to create a logo for a small business that I started, the cost was minimal. Once they gave me the logo, they started hounding me copyright service which was super expensive so i declined and moved on. Randomly today (8.16.2024), I have for the better 2 hours been being harassed with legal action againiist me. I keep asking questions to no avail, which then made me suspicious due to the level of aggression being used. Now, I see this a scam this entire time. I can easily settle for $1500 or $2500 to make everything go away or risk getting sued for $75,000. I just want them to leave me alone and reading some of their reviews online it seems like this pretty standard for them. Trusting the BBB may intervene and have these degenerates removed once and for all. Thank you for listening.

I contacted Paramount Logos to design a logo for my small business. I paid on 2/2/2024 the $165 for the repeated revisions logo design. After much back and forth they had completed the design to my liking. After I agreed on the design they asked me if I wanted to "trademark" the design. They transfer my call and I then agreed to the $499 to do such (paid on 3/11/2024). After that conversation they call and tell me that was just the "application fee" and that I now need to pay another $1000. to proceed. I am confused and balk at the fee. I question the fee and state that I am not happy and that this was NOT explained to me that I would need to pay more. They then threatened me that "If you do not register your logo someone will see that and buy it and it will cost you minimally $75k" because of infringement rights. They claim to me that this is a "common scam" that people do. I feel confused and hesitantly agree to this fee (paid $1,050.00 on 3/15). I told them I was very angry that they had not disclosed these additional charges to me. I then get another call from them and they now want another $995. At this point I see that I have been scammed. I am upset. I tell them I want a full refund and that this is ridiculous. I tell them I will pay for the original logo fee of $165 but want a refund for the rest. Then Paramount Logos tell me that they now "own" my business name and that the Bussiness name will be "auctioned off". I NEVER signed one contract for them to "own" my Bussiness name. They say they will refund my money on May 1st. They have not refunded any of my money. They are continuing to threaten me and I feel this has been a scam. On the Paramount Logos website it does state 100% refund policy.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Paramount Logos regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

On May 13 I got a text stating "please confirm did you receive the refund".  I ignored this...becasue I was promised a refund on MAY 1st and I knew I had not received one. I had already filed my complaint with the BBB.  On Sat May 25th I got a "final reminder text" from Paramount Logos stating I have to "take down" the logo and prove that I did this.  They have threatened me with "legal consequences". This was the second time they had sent this text to me.  My follow up text to then stated that I had reported them to the Better Business Bureau and now to my credit card company.  Then they started a very confusing text thread that "they now don't own the logo" but they had repeatedly told me the "own" the logo and my business name..  They then wanted me to sign some paperwork which I told them I could not do because I do NOT trust them and it is now in the hands of my the BBB and my credit card.  I can not sign anything or engage with them due to the confusion.

I have sent the text thread along from after I had filed the complaint with BBB.  If you need the previous ones I can provide those as well.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

    Sincerely,

I hired this company to create a logo for a small business that I started, the cost was $35.00. Once they gave me the logo (which I decided not to use) they started hounding me to have them setup a website and purchase other products from them. I quickly realized that I didn't want to deal with this company as they started telling me that I had to write a good review for them on trustpilot, I told them to leave me alone and they continue to bother me with threatening legal actions and that I will get sued if I don't pay them $1249.00. I just want them to leave me alone and reading some of their reviews online it seems like this pretty standard for them.
