I realized in January that I'd never received my $100 payment the prior August (08/2023) when I would usually receive my payment in exchange for having their Hotspot device connected in my home. When I contacted them via email, they replied that they were no longer using the service in my area. They said that because of that I would not be receiving the $100 payment. Up to that point, they had never contacted at all to let me know they were no longer using the service in my area, and their equipment had been connected to my **************** all along. If I had never contacted them, it seems as if they wouldn't have contacted me either. After that I received an email asking for the equipment to be sent back, along with a prepaid mailing slip. It also stated I would receive $15 for mailing it back. I sent it back on 03/25/24, and they received it and signed for it on 03/26/24. After that I never received any payment at all. I didn't receive the $100 for having their Hotspot equipment connected to my home internet, nor did I receive the $15 for returning the equipment. I did continue to receive emails and text messages asking for the equipment that had already been returned. A total of 16 weekly emails and 16 weekly texts. I replied back letting them know the equipment had been delivered back to them along with a copy of the delivery mailing slip. They never responded back at all. I sent them separate emails with the delivery information and inquiring about my payment, and again no reply. They have phone number that is completely useless because it says no one is available no matter what time you call. I've attempted multiple times to resolve this issue, but at this point they don't seem to care.Customer Answer

Promised $100/yr to host a hotspot back in 2021. Installed it on 12/8/2021 and received 1 single $100 payment at that time. Did not receive payment for 2022 and 2023. Have tried to call but they have no voicemail or operators answering their phones. Directed to send email. Sent email on 6/22/2024 and was told I would be contacted in 2-3 business days. Good afternoon,CoastFi is a company that promises to pay $100 a year to have a device in your that is connected to the internet. CoastFi continually sends emails and text messages requesting the return of the device. It has been returned ********* Tracking #************ and signed for by: ***** on 3/25/2024. CoastFi continually sends me emails requesting the return of the device. When I call their phone number, **************, I am redirected to e-mail them. Every e-mail I have sent has not been responded to. Well I been having this service in my house since 2021 and haven't gotten a payment since 2022. I have called 5 days in a row to speak with someone with no luck and I also emailed several times with an automated response. All I want is my 200 o let me know if service is no longer needed. On 1/8/2024, CoastFi sent me an email stating that if I returned my Hotspot to them that I would receive $25 to my ****** or Venmo account. I returned their coastfi hotspot and it was delivered on 1/15.************************************************************************************* I've emailed them starting on 1/22/24 and also sent a follow up email on 1/29/24, but no response. Additionally, I've called them multiple times, but no one answers.I would like them to honor what they said and pay me the $25 that was promised for returning their hotspot.Customer Answer

I installed one of their Wi-Fi hotspots back in 2020 and I am supposed to be paid $100 every year since. I have not been paid for the last two years so they owe me $200 plus they will owe me $100 for this year as well. CoastFi pays $100 upfront for the year. After careful consideration, we have determined that there is no need for service coverage in your area for the upcoming year. As a result, we will not be renewing your contract, and no upfront payment will be due.
Please note that the terms of payment were outlined in the terms of service that you agreed to prior to receiving your hotspot. You have already been paid for your year of service.We regret to inform you that we will no longer be providing service coverage in your area. As a result of this decision, we kindly request that you return the following equipment:
