    Sea Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation is holding **** dollars of social security payments and **** dollars of personal funds (that were held by a prior facility for over three months) of my 85-year-old mother, ***********************, for who I have both power of attorney and am her health care proxy. After she was relocated to Sea Crest, in the interim, they demanded payment to be made in full by the family, regardless. All payments were made. The **** dollars is a personal resident fund account that belongs to her. The patient was discharged on 4/20/2023. We were informed that we would be refunded in full; however, that was two months ago, and we still have not received a refund check. Sea Crest admitted they were overpaid as the prior nursing home sent all the funds, yet they failed to inform us of this fact, until the date of discharge.
