  This is my experience at the ************ location. The therapist seemed very inexperienced. I did 6 weeks of therapy and stopped when I realized that I was not on a program/regiment and she was basically winging every session. I specifically told her about pains in my knee, but was still given exercises that further aggravated the problem. She gives the same routine and stretches to all clients regardless of your specific issue. It was a waste of my time and money. Gross incompetence. The therapy area is small and she provides therapy to multiple people at the same time, so you can forget about individual attention to your form.Additionally, they have unethical billing practices. Be prepared to be extorted even if you have insurance. They came after me for thousands of dollars for services they allegedly submitted to my insurance. They collected copayment, got paid by insurance, and then sent bills a year (I am not kidding, a FULL year) after services were provided. So they don't let you know in a timely manner what insurance won't cover to give you time to discontinue services. They collect the copay, and process insurance claims a year later, so you are blindsided by charges not covered by insurance for multiple "treatments".

  I was treated at this location for a 4th metatarsal stress fracture by **************. My experience with ************** was fine, however this review is specifically for the physical therapy services. I booked the PT sessions at this location as it was described to me that the therapist would already have access to my information, scans, and files so it would be easier to provide seamless support. At my initial evaluation, the physical therapist clearly had not looked at my file and I had to share the reasons while I was there. At my second appointment this week, the PT greeted me by asking how my ankle was doing, even though I was there for treatment of my metatarsal fracture. There was one PT and an assistant devoted to 5-6 patients at a time, not allowing for personalized or individualized care or support. After I shared why I was there, the therapist gave me exercises to do but didnt provide any explanation around strategies, what I should be focused on, what I should be feeling. I was not watched or evaluated or provided with feedback while doing the exercises. At the end of the session, when the PT was preparing a heating pad, he said its your big toe, right? The entire experience with the PT team at Downtown Physicians in Brooklyn demonstrated a sheer lack of attention and care with behavior that could have been potentially injurious if the therapist wasnt clear about the reason why a patient was there, they could have been offering exercises inappropriate to a patients injury or recovery status. I would highly discourage anyone from receiving PT here.
