Unsafe. Unkind. Uninviting. ************* looking barkeep put on his micro aggressing body of armor last night. The story: we met at this locations with a handful of ladies to celebrate a birthday. The birthday girl isnt a big drinker so our requests were basic. Bottled beer, wine white, cocktails listed on the menu. The bar had about 5 other patrons present, but for some reason it took Santa forever to make our drinks, and then the alcohol served was made in a way that made the drinks undrinkable. No ice really for chilled beverages. No mixes for the mixed beverages. I literately could not drink what was ordered. I felt like I was served ever clear. This place is also located doors down from a wonderful French Fry spot (Spuds) from which we ordered and brought into the bar. After serving our drinks and closing our tabs, the bartender tells us no outside food while we are eating and after weve set up at a full table. His explanation was that they serve food.. meanwhile.. there were no food menus in sight and no kitchen.. and no offerings of such. After telling the keep wed finish our drinks at leave, he somehow had so much time to stand at the end of the bar where we were, and stare us down. I dont think he served anyone for a full 15 minutes or so because he was posturing like a peacock. At this point in time we werent eating, our boxes of food were closed and bagged. He was literally trying to make our group feel uncomfortable and threatened. One member of our party politely asked him why he was postering so.. he confirmed indeed hed been leaning on the bar in our direction for 15 minutes.. but that was due to his arthritis The only thing that set us apart from the other patrons.. was our demographic. If you want a good drink. This isnt the place. Id you want to feel safe and respected, I suggest any other place on the same block. Will never go back. Wish we had our money returned for the awful drinks and service.

Were sorry you didnt enjoy your experience but we just want to clarify a few things for you and for anyone reading this. Your initial group came in and ordered a total of two cocktails between the six of you. You told us the party wasnt big drinkers, so not a problem at all. But there were no orders for wine, one beer for the 7th person who eventually joined you, and since we dont have a cocktail menu, there was nothing ordered off a menu. All our sales are recorded in a POS system so we have a record of everything you ordered. The 2 drinks ordered were a Titos Passionfruit Martini and a Bulleit Old Fashioned, neither of which contains much, if any mixers in the form of juice or soda when following the standard recipes for those drinks. A martini is served "up" in a chilled glass, so no ice unless you request it. The Old Fashioned came on the rocks, which the bartender would have happily provided more ice if requested. After reviewing the camera footage, he took the standard amount of time to make cocktails that require glass chilling, stirring and muddling. We would have been happy to make the drinks more to your liking but you didn't complain about the drinks that night. As far as the food, your party opened and started eating it AFTER you were served and paid for your drinks, (again verified on camera.) There was no way to tell you before you were served and paid that we dont allow outside food, as the sign on our front door states. Not one person in your party asked to see menus or what food we serve. The only thing you asked in regards to food was whether we could provide you with a fork for the outside food you brought in and had already proceeded to eat.As the bartender said that night and you mention in your review, he does have bad knees, and does spend some of time leaning on the bar on a long shift. But after checking the whole exchange on the cameras we can assure you that it was it definitely was not anywhere close to 15 minutes and he appeared to be checking out the game on the two TVs near your party rather than looking at you as well as glancing over to see if you needed more drinks. He could see from there if the food was actually boxed up. And no, you hadn't put your food away for the majority of the time you were here after he asked. The person that joined you even showed up with his own fork.Spudz IS lovely but its mostly a take out place and there isnt enough seating for a party your size to eat there. Unfortunately, it seems that you clearly were disappointed more that the plan of eating their food in our establishment didnt happen as you would have liked. Had you inquired upfront, the situation could have been avoided.
