    AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. My cabin had mice in it, there is no actual front desk or staff to contact, no 24/7 maintenance for emergencies, and no way of ensuring safety when it's pitch black outside. When I called after 8 PM about the mouse I saw, they offered to place me in another room but refused to give me a refund. Who in their right mind would take the chance of packing up everything only to be greeted with more critters and look for another cabin as a woman alone in pitch Black in ******* after just being absolutely horrified? This company is a complete scam. Stick to hotels and ******'s. This company should be shut down.

    Please do not book with these people! They are stealing your money via their credits. They refuse to honor the money youve spent on your credits once they expire, based on a policy that theyve just implemented. So if you book, and you need to reschedule, you cant use your credit again. Again, theyre literally stealing money from their customers via unhonorable policies. I had my credits before these policies were implemented, and now being held to them and out of hundreds of dollars over a stay that never happened/cant get my money back for. If you do decide to book, do NOT use their credits. This is just a way for them to keep your money without providing you with any service. Furthermore, Ive been to Getaway houses a few times over the past 5 years. The quality of the experience has degraded extremely. Nowadays, you are basically staying in a glorified ******* in the *****. They charge you for literally everything. Ill be sharing more about my experience on my TikTok and Instagram. You are better off booking a regular tiny house in the ***** than staying here.

    If I could give 0 stars, I would.My boyfriend and I planned this trip almost a year ago with our dog. We were excited to go blueberry picking and glamp for the weekend. Instead we woke up to inches of water coming out from under the sink.My boyfriend tried to remove our belongings before it got worse while I tried to contact Getaway customer service. No response through the phone after 4-5 calls, texts are better for them. Okay... texting away and just getting a response to hold. Water is destroying your cabin but sure, take your time.Someone came after 40 minutes, turned off the water and said they will shop vac it so we can continue our stay. Um no thanks. Why would I stay here?!When customer service finally decided to answer the phone, they apologized and gave a full refund. Great, but what is the immediate solution for our vacation? We have no where to stay. Sorry, we are fully booked. No empathy, care to help find and compensate somewhere else to stay.We eneded up going home and this ruined our vacation.Getaway - thanks for a peaceful place to stay for 14 hours, if that. Your customer service is a joke and you failed as a company to help a family "getaway". Noteworthy details - If you want to stay at an over priced trailer with a company who could care less about the customers, this is the place.

    I would not recommend booking with this company. There is no way to contact an actual person before your reservation if there are any problems. You can only contact them through email, which isn't even a person who actually READS your email, it is most certainly an AI bot that continues to give the same response over and over no matter what is said to them. I am very disappointed in the lack of response, lack of human presence, and lack of flexibility.

    I felt the rate charged did not match the level of amenities provided. It was a ************, but the rate should have included all the provisions which were also pricey. On top of that, there was construction noise or something despite the quiet rules impressed on the guests. The back up HVaC system in the cabin was overheating it and would run even when we placed the thermostat into off mode. It was miserable.

    I would not book a stay with getaway house. I purchased a cabin pack on their website that I was unable to use. I was given the message when trying to check out that my credits were invalid. When I reached out for the company to correct this, they just told me the package is non-refundable. Now I am out 300 dollars with no way to book a cabin. Please save your money and do not book with them.
