      My Dog was taken in for an IV and had multiple tests done on her resulting in her death. 3 different doctors told me 3 different stories and a nurse told me it’s not like we can cut her open and give her new kidneys. This place made sure they did everything they could to put my dog in a worst state then when she arrived. She came in clean, not eating, need IV fluids being able to was like normal. After 12 hours at VERG she was returned to us in her own blood after they told me they were doing everything to help her and had people watching her 24/7. I don’t understand how anyone can call this care and it’s been a week with still no answers

      This place has a pattern of harm. Please do something because they just post a number to call them claiming they care and no one ever gets back to you. One of our cats died last week and somehow VERG claimed to have lost the carrier case my wife brought our cat there in. VERG staff then had the disrespect to say they had no idea about the carrier suggesting maybe she never came in one and further distressing my wife. The cost of the carrier is not important, this is the last place our baby cat was alive and it meant something to us to have it. Shame on you VERG for treating my grieving family with disrespect. All the buzz words about dignity and quality of care are meaningless. To make it worse as Trans people and people of color we often face harassment and discrimination navigating spaces and my grieving wife dealt with a transphobic staff member during a time of intense loss. This is inappropriate behavior, its disgusting the lack of compassion many staff had. They claim to understand pets are part of the family - not our Black Trans family. Im sure they even find this post comical. On top of all of this that same staff member ran after my wife when she had left claiming she didnt pay - when she had. Compassion is free. Being a good human is free. When I called to speak to a supervisor just now I was told there was some available then when they heard what it was about no one was available. I understand its a very busy place however someone stole our dead cats carrier or claimed to have lost it you know who you are. Pets are family so take your pet somewhere else if you can help it because Im sure ****** (the only compassionate staff person) doesnt work everyday. Thank you ****** for your kindness.

      Predatory pricing, price gouging. Vets and staff - 4-5 stars. Business itself and owners - negative 5 stars. Most concerning veterinary business practices I've ever experienced (never had a bad review of a vet in 20+ years of owning cats). So many staff persons handling intake, payment etc. and 1 technician handling dozens of pets, pickup took 3 hours. Not surprisingly **** made mistakes (never gave me the $30 cone they said she needed so I had to come back for it, no explanation on cone setup). I couldn't believe how they treated people. Lovely staff but seems like a well-oiled moneymaking machine. Never met the vets or surgeon, all phone after dropoff, mandatory mask policy they neither enforce nor honor themselves. Made me pay $900 to leave my 3 yo cat, then called/emailed with an $8K to $10K range estimate for surgery to fix a blockage and tried to double charge me the initial $900, wouldnt proceed unless I paid the full low estimate. Ultimately cost $6200 for ONE overnight, involved 5 hours of waiting. So while vets /staff are lovely and overworked, its understaffed beyond belief, and still charges double a reasonable charge despite insane wait times. They are best at requiring payment up front of an insanely high estimate or refusing service - then once pets dropped off, holding a pet essentially hostage until one pays their insane prices that have no relation to any actual value of service and no likely relation to their actual costs. I hope to NEVER go there again. **** makes *** look bad and insanely overpriced, like we're a joke to its owners. Good vets /surgeon, lovely staff, so appreciative they saved cat, will never go back - they abused my trust, goodwill, finances. *** needs more ETHICAL vet ERs. (cat's surgical site now infected after ****'s surgery) PS - spring 2019 had great experience there so maybe it's a new owner, but no excuse.

      I am 100% unsatisfied with **** including the response from **** which seems to have been a phony response - they left a reply on the BBB site and left me a voicemail, I called back, didn't reach the person, left a message - no one ever bothered to call me back - it was just lip service.

      They didn't try to reach me except in passing, as lip service - the commenter was "happy to discuss" - except that she wasn't. Never called me back. didn't even try.
