  This is the most professional auction house in Western New York, and the only auction house in the City of Buffalo. The owner, who sadly passed away, saved their beautiful building from being knocked down and turned into a parking lot. The folks who work there are very kind and hard working. They cleaned out a home for a family member and did a spectacular job. I cannot help but comment on ***** *, who left a scathing review. I am willing to bet that she and her family were not willing to clean out the property she is complaining about, but I'm sure she was satisfied with the job that The Lodge Auction House workers completed (as she does not complain about the work but only the cost). You could have done the work yourself! I just wanted to comment on how great the staff and especially Kelly the Owner were for me, and they were recommended by a family friend. I enjoyed the entire experience I had with the Lodge Auction House cleaning out our family member's home, and even today I still participate in their online auctions that they continue to hold. Good people! Great business!

  Buyer beware on this one. Company is not transparent with the cost of their services. We hired Kelly, Owner, after meeting with her and her walk through, assessment, and inventory of the contents of a 992 sq ft home. She suggested a clean out and auction, as she stated there was not enough items to have an Estate Sale. Several times while inventorying the home, Kelly stated that if we agreed to have them empty the home, that we could not remove any items as it would not be worth her time and money if items were removed because of the lack of items the house contained and that we would still be responsible for the full service if we took any items out of the house. She estimated her fee to be between $2,000 and $3,000 for the job. We agreed and hired her and her team. After the home was emptied, we received a bill for more than double what she had estimated. I was at the home on the day of clean out at 5 pm when 95 percent of the home was emptied, and she still would not give me a price. I had to wait for the invoice to come three days later in the mail. We feel that with the experience she claimed to have in this field and the fact that she and one other member of her staff inventoried the house and the contents, she could have given an estimate that was in a closer range of the actual cost. We would have never agreed to her service had we had known the actual cost, which is what I am guessing, she figured and is why we did not get a closer estimate. Again, buyer beware.
