    I hired this company through ***** **** because they supposedly have a money-back guarantee.. It was for a new central air conditioner. It worked fine last year til the season ended. I recently changed the new thermostat from heat to ac.. The temp in the house was 76 & it should have changed to the preset temp of 72 but it didn't. It kept blowing out lukewarm air for 3 hours until I manually shut it off .This was installed on 08/05/2022 I paid $3002.77 with my debit card but took out a loan to pay for it. It should have been a simple install I have a ranch house with a straight run to the outside wall where the unit is. He didn't seem to know what he was doing. He was here til 10PM & still had to call a friend because he couldn't get something right. I notified ********* & they had another installer come out to assess the problem. They told me all the connections were wrong, they were leaking & there was no freon in the unit. They could fix it for $2500. I did not talk with APEX because first of all I'm furious & second I don't want him to touch it he obviously isn't qualified. ********* claims they tried to reach him but couldn't & they are not honoring their money-back guarantee. which states " they agree to pay the consumer the lesser of a) the total amount paid to the responsible service professional by the consumer or ..b) the amount reasonably required to remedy the material deviation from the scope of work agreement. Here's their loophole for eligibility 1) you placed the request & hired the pro through ********* 2) you have a contract or document showing the terms of agreement 3) you hired the pro within 30 days of placing the request.4) you discovered the problem within 6 months of the pro being hired & notified us within 45 days of noticing the issue. How the hell can I notify them of an ac problem when you don't use it in the winter? I did notify them as soon as I discovered the problem. They need to be held accountable also. .I want a refund of whatever it takes to fix this ASAP. The address I have for APEX is 209 Rounds Ave Buffalo NY 14215 ###-###-####
