      Surety Remodeling was the company contracted by Erie County to remove the lead paint in my home. They removed 95% of the lead paint. Our kitchen cabinets had lead paint. They missed the entire underside of the cabinets. They also painted over the cabinet hardware, making it difficult to open the cupboard. We have children in the house (ages 3 & 6). While the girls had no interaction with the workers, it should of been obvious that there were kids in the house considering their outdoor toys were in plain sight from where they were working. The safety of my kids as well as the rest of my family was not taken into consideration when the guys were packing up after they finished the job. Several dozen nails and sharp pieces of metal flashing were left behind in my yard and driveway.

      My 90 year old mother in law got a Belmont loan for a roof in 2016. Fast forward to today Surety says they are not the same company. This company only shares the name Surety, that was Surety Construction & this is Surety Remodeling due to a death in 2017, my condolences. However they say they dont have the same files everything is new since 2017! The person who answers the phone I believe her name is Lisa, Stephen's Mother. is usually rude. I am feeling that has something to do with the percieved demographic. We were told they would fix the shingles that the previous Surety company put in and charge us 400 USD or so, that's fair. However I didnt want to pay in advance, because I dont trust them. They say its a new company yet the BBB says they have been in business for 46 years and accredited since 2004? How can a company in business since 2017 represent to the BBB they've been in business for 46 years and accredited since 2004. Either they aren't truthful or the BBB is unrealiable, which is it? At any rate I am willing to pay when they show up to do the work report before they start, however not willing to pay to be put on their schedule
